  1. After Patrick is done today Murphy will probably bring in Tyler Alexander to make it a game again.
  2. Latest news I could find Brewers' Blake Perkins: Progress stalling. Rotowire May 17, 2025 Manager Pat Murphy said Saturday that Perkins (shin) still isn't able to run the bases on consecutive days without pain, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
  3. MLB has Zastryzny as the probable opener. https://www.mlb.com/gameday/brewers-vs-phillies/2025/05/31/777702/preview
  4. You are correct, that is why I suggested going after Pirates Isiah Kiner-Falefah but got bashed for that suggestion.
  5. Despite being only 25-year old, Lazar has had an extensive professional baseball career. After being drafted out of high school in the 11th round in 2017, Lazar spent five seasons in the Milwaukee Brewers organization, reaching as high as Double-A Biloxi in 2023. He also missed the entire 2021 season rehabbing from Tommy John Surgery. After his contract was up with the Brewers, Lazar knew he wanted to seek an opportunity elsewhere. Milwaukee offered him a chance to re-sign, but Lazar knew joining the Phillies organization was the right move once Philadelphia came calling. “I was looking for a fresh start," Lazar said.
  6. Yes, its ok you believe IKF is ≤ Joey Ortiz. Meanwhile in SD, IKF went 1-3 yesterday, hitting .297 by acciden't. Ortiz 0-4 posting sizzling Joey Wiemer like numbers this season.
  7. All just my guesses ONLY. 1) Chance of rain in Philly maybe is why?? 2) Priester's blister aggravating him again. 3) Just the opener thing. The old Murphy "Shake and Bake."
  8. I disagree that he is "very much below average now" with a .362 OBP. The league average is a .312 OBP. BA. now .297 but he recently did miss a couple weeks with a pulled hamstring that would be a concern for me.
  9. I'm confused when you said Kiner-Falefa is a below average bat? Unless I heard wrong. At the 1:26:30 point. https://www.mlb.com/player/isiah-kiner-falefa-643396
  10. You win. It is Caleb Durbin.
  11. What Current Brewer is this, trivia? Its not Andrew Monasterio.
  12. The single "A" Timber Rattlers is not that good a measuring stick for MLB success. That is like one step above college. Just sayen'.
  13. The series against the Phillies will tell me a lot. At least the Brewers have a day off to rest and recharge before they play them while the Phillies have a double header tomorrow. All plusses for the Brewers. Then there is always the Cubs who are just as good.
  14. But the big picture is. INJURIES LHP Jose Quintana Injury: Left shoulder impingement IL date: May 14 (15-day, retroactive to May 11) Expected return: June 1 at Phillies Status: Threw 71 pitches over four innings in a rehab start for High-A Wisconsin on May 27 and reported only normal soreness the next day. He's planning to rejoin the rotation on Sunday at Philadelphia. (updated May 28) More >> RHP Brandon Woodruff Injury: Right shoulder surgery, right ankle tendinitis IL date: March 27 (15-day, retroactive to March 24) Woodruff efficient in latest rehab start with sights set on Brewers' next homestand
