  1. wanting give the other pitchers some work didn't work out to well, at least we got out of it with the lead.
  2. I'm happy with what we have Collins, Chourio, Frelick. Perkins will have to make great strides to pass up one of them for a starting spot this year being only a .234 career hitter even before his leg injury. He was mainly in there for his defensive glove to begin with. Unnecessary intervention or change is not a good way to manage a team unless one of our current starters gets hurt. Perkins is not a .280 hitter.
  3. Joe Ross pitching for the Phillys on FOX right now. I totally forgot about him, did we just release him? LOL at I was typing this Soto just put one in the bleachers off Ross.
  4. All Star break is July 14 to July 17 so he better not play in that. A full 4 days off may do wonders for him.
  5. Cards win in the 11th. Cubs win 10-7. Brewers win 9-0 Just treading water in the standings, always better than a loss.
  6. I feel bad for Mitchell. He works so hard to get back in baseball shape and now this. Hope its only a minor setback.
  7. Brewers continue tear with 9-run outburst in win against Twins MINNEAPOLIS -- Jose Quintana pitched six scoreless innings on Saturday as the Brewers beat the Twins, 9-0, on a brutally hot and humid day at Target Field.
  8. Well Quintana made it threw 6. If he starts the 7th I hope he gets pulled the 1st base runner.
  9. Good Eye Bob and Old Brian said Isaac Collins is twice as valuable as Garrett Mitchell just last week and OOOOH did I get some crap.
  10. Curt Hogg 6/16/25 @CyrtHogg Nestor Cortes said yesterday’s bullpen (his third) went well. He threw 30 pitches without a second up-down. Next up will be another ‘pen with 2 up-downs, then a couple live BPs before going out on rehab.
  11. In more ways than one. Excessive Heat Warning Minneapolis, MN. Saturday forecast: Local perspective: Temperatures could reach tropical heat levels of 97 degrees. Feeling more like 108 degrees by the afternoon.
  12. ESPN Story: OK, this is kind of a weird one, but we're trying to figure out how the Brewers are once again succeeding. Their bullpen has been solid, but certainly has had a few more leaks than the past two seasons, when the pen was dominant, especially in win probability added. They're good on the bases, but near the bottom of the league in home runs. So let's go with lineup stability. The Brewers have played 76 games, and seven players have played at least 70 of them. That's pretty remarkable in today's game, when staying healthy sometimes feels like half the battle. Other than Joey Ortiz, they have all produced positive WAR -- and since the Brewers are not using their bench much or resorting to call-ups, they're avoiding the "bad" plate appearances that drag down some lineups. No single player is tearing it up, but having seven slightly better than average hitters might be enough to win a wild card.
