  1. Mench has 2 hits to right tonight. Hopefully, he was just pressing when he first got here. Good approaches tonight. He looks like a different hitter tonight IMO. Not a white version of Greg Vaughn, a guy who just tries to pull the ball every time.
  2. Anyone advocating trading weeks should be banned from any brewer website. That's a cubs fan in disguise.
  3. I blame this all on Gord Ash. He's gotta get out of the TV booth.
  4. Bill needs to stop talking about hitting a HR.
  5. If bell slides there he's safe I think. Anyone else think so?
  6. Had we lost the WC would be in doubt, since we need an effective BP. I've said it before, I'll say it again, Turnbow and Cappelean, when he comes back are the keys to the last 2 months of the season. I'm more encouraged now than ever before that we can win the WC. We've got the best staff of any of the WC teams, if the bullpen can come together watch out.
  7. That's huge. We need an effective Turnbow to make a run in the wildcard.
  8. Doug Melvin is an evil Genius. I'm glad he's on our side.
  9. I can't believe anyone wants to blame the offense. I mean, the game stopped because the reds were at home. How many runs would they have scored had the game been at Miller? You can't expect the offense to score 8-9 runs a game, for pete sakes.
  10. Let's not go crazy and trade weeks and hall for a couple of bullpen arms. There's more than one season fellas. I've glad I'm not a reds fans who's team has mortgaged the future for a couple of bullpen arms. When you are most desperate is the worst time to do a deal. Always deal from a position of strength. Most people knew this team wasn't going to win this year anyway. Give Doug an offseason to fill some holes.
  11. Is he pitching aroung Freel? Pretty soon it's going to be major league Ball 4 Ball 8 Ball 12 That's totally Daron's intonation.
  12. The brewers thank you for giving up the out to a guy who can't throw strikes
  13. Only logical basis for not PH is that should the Brewers get the bases loaded an 2 outs, you have to PH for Wise with either Gwynn or Rivera, assuming you didn't pinch run Gwynn for Millar. So that would leave you very thin on the bench for extra innings. But, I would take that scenario a 100 times over Barnwell leading off in the bottom of the 9th down 1 run.
  14. Hart's a .333 hitter in 51 AB's. Barnwell's got 2 hits in 19 AB, and is a career minor leaguer. This is an opportunity to get Hart a shot in a pressure situacion, something he can use for experience. Seems like a no brainer PH for me.
  15. Should have said Hart for Barnwell. Does Hart have some kind of communicable disease that prevents him for PH? Yost seems to like him on the bench. I don't get it.
