  1. I hate that ballpark. I think I could hit one out down the line. Sheets has his good stuff working. Sveum does not.
  2. I guess my attitude on it is that if there was such organized outrage over these names, they'd be changed by now. If the majority of American Indians are apathetic, or just not enraged enough to really make a statement, then I shouldn't be. Don't get me started on "Warriors" though.... Completely unoffensive with a non-Indian logo. I'm really offended by the Flying Dutchmen and the Fighting Irish though. One down, one to go. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  3. Can anyone post Uecker's call of the game ending DP? Not sure if this is possible or not but I would LOVE to hear it!
  4. How set are they on 13 pitchers? If they're not I'd love to see Turnbow and McClung down, with Dillon and Bush up. If they are, is there anyone at AAA better than McClung, so we can justify sending that joker down too? Hard to get too upset... games like this will happen, and runs can be cyclical. We have a lot better chance to score 19 tomorrow than they do. They didn't save any for tomorrow... we were being much more frugal http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. *postgame handshakes* A bit lengthy, but a nice win to get!
  6. HAHA. Bill has no concept of the strike zone right now.
  7. Soto brought that ball down about 6 inches.... enough to fool all of Wrigley and Bill Schroeder.
  8. Regardless, a pretty nice AB by Billy. He's gotta start trusting the right side again.
  9. It was off the plate. Barely, but outside.
  10. I hear ya... but that's what makes it the best. The line between success and failure is so small. Come on boys, get a couple back.
  11. It's a fickle, fickle game. Two infield hits and then boom, a game again.
  12. You're on to something. Those two down, Cameron and Dillon up. Bush to long relief. 13 batters, 12 pitchers. No more using Suppan to PH.
  13. Kapler has become quite good at fouling out lately.
  14. That might have been the worst thing Yost could have admitted to. "Simba... gimme your hat. Bunt or swing away?"
  15. Ok... I went to the game, sat in freaking wet clothes for 3.5 hours for what? I get in the car and hear "Yeeeeaaah, it was great pitching. I mean we're swinging the bats fine right now." I almost drove my car into a tree. HELLO NED- YOUR OFFENSE IS NOT GOOD RIGHT NOW. 75% of your infield is below .200! That's like saying "Yeeeahhhh, Mota pitched pretty well, it was just great plate discipline by them." I have reached my limit with him. I am done with Yost altogether. Part of me almost wishes they'd tank so he would get the ax. But back to the game... should have known by the horizontal rain and 25 minute wait at will call that it was gonna be a rough night. I really, honestly, cannot fathom two decisions tonight. First, you get Rickie on to lead off the eighth, show bunt, and then take it off? It's 0-0, one run is huge. Would it kill them to manufacture a run?! Second, when 3 of the 4 balls Mota threw to walk the leadoff guy were "Juuuuussst a bit outside," you'd think about warming up one of those pitchers in your overly-stocked bullpen. Nope, let's wait until he gives up three runs before getting Riske up. Great move. Whew.. I feel a bit better. Oh, and score some damn runs. Here's hoping Parra can get out of the fifth tomorrow.
  16. Left backs that head the ball into their own net in the 95th minute, giving up a priceless away goal. Any Liverpool/Soccer/Champions League fans will understand.
  17. You said that everyone would be asking why Turnbow wasn't in. That is just not true. Even if Riske blows it NO ONE would be asking for Turnbow.
  18. That is completely and utterly false. I'd like you to find ONE person on this site that was calling for Turnbow to come in for the ninth.
