  1. Your argument for keeping Adames doesn't make sense, you will lose him in a year to free agency because the Brewers are not going to extend him, Turang can be used at 2nd and Ortiz at short, and if Black is all he is supposed to be, you have your young infield set for the next 5 years at least, and unless there is a power 1st basemen in the minors your high on, you try to keep Hoskins, all your needs on this team next few years would be building a descent starting rotation around Peralta.
  2. It had to happen, you could not wait until July, Burnes was not happy with the team ever since the Hader trade, and the haggling over 250k last arbitration didn't sit well at all, could have been a mental issue for a down year last year. A Boris client meant there was no way in hell Brewers could afford this guy and he was headed to free agency. Was a good trade because Baltimore may have just acquired a rental.
  3. I still firmly believe that the Brewers will somehow come to an extension with Willy and leave Turang at 2nd base. Burnes being a Boris client stands no chance of staying with Brewers long term and thus will be flipped during season if one of the youngsters stand out or for sure at trade deadline where they still will receive a descent trade package.
  4. Wasn't Sanatana by all the experts supposed to be a defensive liability? How did that work out for THE BREWERS?
  5. Would Drury be interested in a contract extension? If so I would consider him, these 1-year wonders every year just to have a bite at the apple are fun but isn't it time Milwaukee puts a solid base in place and filters in the youngsters? I still cannot fathom how MLB hasn't stepped in regarding the Dodgers and all the pushing of money into the future to hoard players.
  6. Your going to be playing with fire if you think a unhappy Burnes is going to show his best stuff until trade deadline to which Milwaukee will try to recoup at least something for him, Burnes is pitching for his free agency, I am not as high on Ashby, was very inconsistent as starter before injury, I think they will pick up another back end starter on the cheap and finally start mixing in the youngster to start the run all over again before the next crop is ready.
  7. Woody is only gone in spirit at this time, until someone signs him I hold out hope that he wants to stay in Milwaukee and Milwaukee wants him, it is just a matter of finding a compatible number being you don't know if he will pitch at all in 2024.
  8. Really trade a young and promising 3rd/1st baseman for a D.H?
  9. This article upsets me because it reaffirms that the Hader trade was purely a salary dump. Gasser is the only player part of that trade I believe and it sounds like the Brewers are just hoping he becomes something this year or they will probably lose him to rule 5 next year. Now you see it all over again with Burnes, he is a Boris client and will definitely go into free agency, so why keep him around for a year and get nothing for him but a draft pick? I am very skeptical of this front office.
