  1. I say pull a Robin Yount and bring the kid up, what's with all the power hype? Milwaukee did quite well with small ball in 2024, the power will come.
  2. That Billionaire seems to be more interested in Soccer right now, possibly owning a team eventually, for those who think he is all in on the Brewers, remember MLB/Mgmt threatened possibility of moving a club if their money demands weren't met for the stadium and that 14 million dollar albatross in center field that has a history of malfunctioning now
  3. Because Murphy has a love affair with Peguro and Hoby, both have had terrible years this year and I was under the impression you stay with the hands that get you there, if you would lose either Hoby or Peguro so be it you have major league ready pitchers in Nashville right now for your future. I don't think either player would probably have been snatched up.
  4. After the season ends there will be a lot of changes to the pen for 2025, you have 2 major league-ready arms ready to be plugged into the pen so losing 1-2 is not that big of a deal, just get thru the playoffs. I see another mysterious season-ending injury coming for a couple of players to round out the play off roster.
  5. Not to worry Ortiz will be the shortstop in 2025, the Brewers are not going to shell out 150 Million to Adames, unless they bring in a veteran 3rd baseman that would be Black's position to lose in 2025.
  6. Remember Mr. Craigseptember is lurking in your rearview mirror, so I wouldn't take anything for granted. 9 game lead is not guaranteed anything, stay out of wild card series and get one of the top 2 spots.
  7. It is all smoke and mirrors with Ashby, even before the injury the problem was his control and that one bad inning as a starter, Ashby is better out of the pen where 3 innings probably would be is threshold. I am glad to see the velocity but don't proclaim him back after just one outing.
  8. Let's see you extended Ashby and how is that working out, you say that he would block the youngsters, well your plan for the Miz is starting in pen, every other youngster has been used for fill-ins and unless someone blows you away in spring training, only one would make it from minors or they would be on roster right now in Milwaukee.
  9. This bullpen should never have imploded like this, Murphy went to the well(Williams) one too many times within a week, with a back issue I warned in previous remarks that his load should be lighter to conserve the back, as soon as Williams loaded the bases he should have been pulled, we will blame this loss on Murphy mis managing that pen. But it is only one and now he should have learned Williams limits.
  10. You have to play for one of the two top spots, you need the cushion of a best of 5 or 7 playoffs, not a best of three or 5 as last year proved, the 1st round playoff for Brewers are a nightmare.
  11. Here's the big question, is this the type of back injury that can still reappear? Is this surgery only for pain relief? I know people who after this type of surgery had some relief, but the issue returned after awhile. The back is a very touchy issue.
  12. Doesn't have name recognition and is not on a glitzy team, the baseball writers hardly ever write about Brewer Players, so though he should be in conversation, he won't be.
  13. It would also mess up the drafting of pitchers, scouts would have to find durable inning eaters over young pitchers with good stuff, now they need to find ones with both. But again MLB thinks they know what's best for fans. How about making games more affordable that would fill up stands.
  14. Sure wish they would make some adjustments to Peralta, isn't pitching like a #1, and almost closer to a #3.
  15. Will the Brewers repeat themselves? Usually after a flood of runs the next game or two they struggle to score runs, I sure hope they are beyond that.
  16. I think they all wait too long on pitches and should swing more on hitter-friendly counts, there are too many Brewers just standing there and taking called third strikes, that could be because of the inconsistency of the strike zone, but they need a little more aggression at the plate.
  17. All it told me was the Brewers will always be that team that talks a good game but never takes that next step to reach the World Series, they are just content filling seats for the owner and making it to the playoffs. As Stearns said they want a bite of the apple each year. They value all their minor leaguers and are afraid to part with them to build a dynamic team, I don't mean for rentals, but for players with team control. Now whether this is the front office or from the owner it is time you show the fans you really are in it to win it, not groom players to sell off to the big clubs, I mean I didn't think Milwaukee was a farm team, but I could be wrong.
  18. I think it is time that MLB increases the roster limit from 40 to 45 so small market teams who groom these players and cannot afford the big name regularly can protect their investments for future players for their clubs.
  19. You either use him out of pen for short relief or trade him, he is not a starter!
  20. Is he a rental or does the team have control after this year, if he is a rental then the Brewers got hosed. You will try to fix him for 50 games then watch him walk?
  21. Here we go again, bring in another project, hell Milwaukee thinks they can fix everybody, very disappointed in trade for the stretch run.
  22. I wouldn't expect many more moves if any, they are banking on all these I.L returnees and that Yelich will return sometime, although a shell of himself, they are holding onto their minor leaguers for dear life. I don't think Mark A. has given out the okay for any major money moves, guess won't have enough to invest in soccer ownership.
  23. Since coming off the IL, Mitchell has not batted any better than before injury, he takes too many pitches and swings at too many out of strike zone, I say if you can move him, DO IT! Maybe Boston will want hometown boy Frelick?
  24. Everyone thinks this team is okay, don't worry reinforcements are coming, if you mean Yelich, if he returns he will be a shell of his first half with that back issue, the other 3 are pitchers, Ross was up and down, Hall will probably be in pen with spot starts due to inconsistencies and you don't know what Williams will bring, this team is in a funk right now and the pitching staff is tired.
  25. Excuse me Milwaukee, didn't you piss this guy off last year by degrading his hitting ability and then sitting him and letting him walk, and now because he is hitting with a different club you want him back, this the guy before the All-Star break that had it in for you guys and hit the hell out of your pitching? I would concentrate on the starters, Peralta looks tired and out of sorts, Rae is pitching too many innings and Meyers will get figured out by other teams, other than those three you have fill-ins and that will not get you into an NLCS.
