Another solid day for Gillespie, he is way overdue for a promotion.

Braun is a man among boys right now. How soon before he gets promoted to Nashville. Oh, and that Yo guy is pretty good too.

Just got back from the game. First off, Hall and Fielder's homeruns were both just blasted. While Mench may not be Carlos Lee, he showed a good deal of alertness and hustle by taking a second base on a napping Dunn (who costed his team twice because of his lack of attentiveness in the field). Cordero has a wicked slider. He made a couple of guys look really silly up there. Finally, I was glad to see Turnbow go out there and earn the save. Although was it just me, or did the homeplate umpire tighten his strikezone dramatically. While injuries have taken this team seemingly out of the playoff hunt, I think this team is capable of finishing at .500 by season's end.

Did Huntsville just change their name to Chattanooga? Maybe I'm just out of the loop and they changed it without me noticing.

Not just a no hitter, so far its been a perfect game. There I can say it. Didn't know the jinx was one sided. Edit: I guess the jinx thing goes both ways. Three hits and two runs. Well, now that that is over, knock 'em dead Huntsville.

Something is happening at the Huntsville game that you guys might want to check out. Its a bad thing for Huntsville, but it should be interesting to see if it keeps going if you are a fan of baseball in general.

You can never give up on this Brewer team. Everytime you think they are beat, they prove you wrong.

Miller is definitely not slumping. He's been especially hot during this road trip.

Wow, Eveland and Gallardo pitching awesome right now. 12 Ks and only three baserunners through 7 and a third for Eveland. Gallardo with 5 Ks through 5. No runs allowed by either to this point. Still no earned runs given up by Gallardo in AA.

Huh? His throw was right there, all Moeller had to do was catch it and put the tag down. He did neither.

This guy does not belong in the Majors, he makes Blanco look like an allstar. It is a joke that he is still on our roster. I am sick and tired of us losing games in which he plays. At some point it has to register with Melvin, the guy sucks. I may just boycott any game Moeller catches.
  13. strawbossisevil
What a bum...Moeller totally misplayed what would have been an easy play at the plate. I'm sick of this guy, he doesn't hit, he doesn't play defense. Ballgame. Kolb is aweful as well.

BILL HALL Get up get up get out of here.... GONE!
  15. strawbossisevil
Unbelievable. This was a pathetic showing, absolutely pathetic. Bill Hall looked lost today and his boot just flipped the momentum of the entire game. I think this has to be the most upset I've been after a loss in a long time.

We're in business. Gross is heating up again. If we overcome that horrible inning I'll be impressed. We don't deserve to win this game at all. Edit: I wouldn't call Buck a "bad hitter", at least not while he's hitting the ball like he has lately.
  17. strawbossisevil
There have been three plays Hall should have made tonight which he didn't make. He was only charged for an error on one, but I'm confident that Hardy would have made a play on all three. Hall isn't awful at short, but he's average at best. If this was Jenkins or another of this year's whipping boys, I'm sure you would be whistling a different tune.

Words just can describe how upset I am with Hall and Koskie. This inning should have been over long ago. If we lose today it hangs on their heads.
  19. strawbossisevil
Hey, didn't he give up 2 runs early last game, but still end up with a QS? Its a little early to tell whether we have the sucky version.
  20. strawbossisevil
Well, I'm glad we were able to take one game out of this series. I'm still peeved that we lost the first one because of two mishandled bunts. (Had to happen at the first game I could attend this year.)
  21. strawbossisevil
I have a bad feeling about this.
  22. strawbossisevil
Ordonez has had a heck of a series. I'm glad we don't have to see him anymore after today. Edit: POST 1000!

That hit has to make all those concerned about Weeks' lack of power feel a little better.
  24. strawbossisevil
I'm gonna be at the game tonight. My first for the season (since I just moved back to the area). Should be a good matchup. Here's hoping Davis puts a good outing together tonight and limits the free passes.

And we gain a game on both the Astros and Reds. Today has been a good day.
