  1. That has to be the one of the funniest box scores I've seen. Mets 2 runs on 1 hit no errors Brew 3 runs on 1 hit no errors
  2. AND THE RALLY CAPS WORK! WAY TO GO MILLER! This past inning has been a lesson to both pitchers. Don't walk people and you stand a better chance of winning.
  3. IS IT TOO EARLY TO BREAK OUT THE RALLY CAPS? EDIT: GREAT AT BAT BY KOSKIE
  4. And then Davis immediately falls behind P. Martinez. I don't know what's wrong with him this season, but he better fix it and fast. I hate when the other team has more runs than hits. Grrr.
  5. Wow, does the guy only hit against us?
  6. Nady has to be one of the year's biggest over achievers. He is slugging over 100 points higher than any previous year in his career.
  7. Jenkins really lived up to my expectations in that at-bat. I have a feeling this won't be the last K for him today.
  8. I think we can agree to disagree on this one. Hall's first years in Milwaukee were far worse than what Hardy's first years have been. Hardy's the better player defensively and he has a higher offensive ceiling than Hall (whether he actually reaches that ceiling is another thing altogether.)
  9. Wow, is this the third game in a row that Hardy has sat for? While its nice to see Hall hitting, is it a good idea to sit Hardy for an entire series?
  10. Mmmmmmmmmm....pickles and cheese. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. Wow, I wasn't sure until this last post, but I guess you have swayed me. Despite all the facts that say otherwise, JJ Hardy is a worthless ballplayer. Let's bag him up and and ship him to Borneo.
  12. I believe I saw a number the other day that had him hitting .390 with RISP or Men on Base (I can't remember). May not be the same after today, but that is doing pretty well in the clutch.
  13. He's struggled so much that he had raised his BA by 50 points in the last 10 games. Sit that bum down. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. Oh wait, this is a reverse jinx thread. Now I understand. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Nice work!
  15. I think this belongs in a different forum. Hall and Hardy are both pretty solid young players. Hardy's role is not on the bench IMHO. I'm in favor of having them both play.
  16. I think part of the problem with Geoff is when he does get out, he looks incredibly awful doing it. The guy doesn't seem to have a clue at the plate. But then he goes and hits a bomb the next time up. His style of offense is not easy on the eyes.
  17. I don't know, not a lot of teams have too much patience with a pitcher whose ERA is 10.80. While you may be right that other teams may have a guy with those kind of numbers, the ones usually competing for the playoffs typically don't.
  18. Geoff Jenkins: what a clutch player, eh? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif HR this series: Jenkins:1 Baroid: 0
  19. Our pen is looking terrible so far this year. Apart from Wise, Kolb and T-Bow. My patience is running very thin with JDLR, he may become an amazing pitcher someday, but he is not in the right place to work on that. I say ship him to KC. Capellan I have a bit more patience for, but not much more.
  20. Ok thanks for the info. This is why I'm glad you guys are handling things and not me. Thanks for all the work you do, the life of a Moderator isn't as glamourous as some think it is.
  21. This is taken from today's game thread. I really think this attitude needs to end. You respect people on this site, you don't talk down to people because they "haven't earned your respect." People acting in this way really stir things up far more then they ought to be. Yeah negativity and trollish behavior is a definite problem. But threating one another like trash seems far worse. Respect the rules of the board. If people want to talk down to others and treat others with disrespect there are boards where that is permitted (MB.com, ESPN). Brian, I don't envy your job one bit. It must be hard to deal with all of this and you are far more experienced than I am when it comes to this kind of thing. Would giving short term (a week) suspensions help get the message across to some people? It seems the all or nothing approach (either kicking them off permanently or letting them stay) isn't really getting the message across. I know this is hard on you and you probably never imagined having to deal with all this stuff when you started the board. Its really a shame that this awesome thing you've put together has to have so many people who treat it with such disrespect.
  22. Bush deserved much better. Great outing, I think we'll still be alright in the starting pitching department, even with Ohka gone for an extended period.
  23. Let's go Prince, time for #6. First walk off homer of the year, you can do it buddy. Or strike out. Nuts. Tough couple of games to watch. At least Clark and Jenks put together some good at bats.
  24. Time for El Caballo to gallop his way around the bases. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  25. Oh come on now. 1) The rules of the board are to be respectful. 2) I don't care where you are you don't talk down to people, its unethical. 3) This is the attitude that needs to be removed well before negativity. Being a man means acting like one, and not being immature. EDIT: To remove inappropriate part of the quote- PF
