  1. I'd platoon them batting Gross against righties and Brady against lefties. That way Brady gets the advantage in his at bats which may help him get out of his current funk. Also Gross would be able to contribute to the offense by facing right handers.
  2. Gross really impresses me with the way he handles his At-Bats. He always seems to get into really deep counts. Obviously he didn't get a hit here, but the guy is far more advanced a hitter than I expected when I heard about the trade.
  3. HEY HOW BOUT SOME RALLY CAPS, LET'S SCORE 10 THIS INNING.
  4. I see now that you did, unfortunately it was while I was writing my post. And don't think I'm just pointing this out to you, its been a problem through out this site. There is way too much talking down to one another. In general, the rule should always be, talk to people on here like you talk to people in person.
  5. Ok, this is entirely not necessary. You may not like the guy or the way he posts. But to go on the attack against him, while he's not even here. Remarks like this are far worse than negative remarks.
  6. Ah well. At least they aren't laying down. Tough call on Hall.
  7. Just saying that indicates that you consider the rest of us to be irrational. The sad thing about so many of these outbursts by the "losing posters" is that they take some kind of small sample and just go to town with it and then declare all who don't agree to be irrational. I have no problem with you Buck, you actually agreed with me when I made an argument to the contrary of what you were saying. I don't think a troll would do that.
  8. Great game for Lil' Ben. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. He always seemed to have talent, here's hoping he realizes that talent.
  9. Can pitchers get wins without solid outings from the offense? No. So theoretically, a pitcher could have a 1.00 ERA and still lose every single game because his offense blew terribly. So would you say that the guy with the 7.00 ERA who had terrific run support and more wins would really be the Ace over the 1.00 ERA guy? I doubt it. While their numbers are not this drastic, I think this makes my point.
  10. Bucksmann, I couldn't disagree more. Sheets has been out for over half a year. Judging him on his first four starts (which really haven't been all that bad up until this one) is quite unfair. Cappy has been pitching out of his mind so far this season. But that's the key, we are only one month in. Its a long season, and their career numbers suggest that Sheets is by far the better pitcher. Sheets career ERAs hardly suggest an erratic pitcher, they instead suggest a pitcher who's done great but w/ little run support.
  11. Wow, not a weak link in that lineup. Top notch from 1-8. I think we'll score a ton of runs for Sheets tonight. It really says something when 1-7 in your lineup could hit for 20 or more HRs on the season.
  12. Why can't every game be like this? Wow our offense is potent. Just wish it was a bit more consistent.
  13. Finally Brady joins in the fun. Good to see the guy get a basehit. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. Just got done reading the Game Thread on the Cubs forum....priceless! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  15. I think Koskie used up all of his HRs in Spring Training. Didn't he have like 5 in ST? Edit: Ok, never mind. That's some reverse mojo for ya! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. I hate the Cubs. I have this really annoying Cub fan who lives by me, told me yesterday that Ben Sheets sucks because he hasn't gotten a win yet. I then asked him how Derrick Lee was doing....Shut him right up. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  17. I think I need a break from Brewers baseball, this is far too frustrating.
  18. I am so sick of this. This team does everything in its power to lose games. Ned needs to get this teams act together before we get in a hole we can't get out of.
  19. Demaria did a solid job in the last two innings. Granted his other outing didn't go so well. But he was far more impressive than Adams. I still don't understand why Adams was brought in with the bases loaded, why not Capellan or Wise. If you are going to bring in your worst reliever, you might as well just leave JDLR in the game.
  20. Go get them tomorrow boys! I think Ned needs to have a heart to heart with his pitching staff.
  21. We are once again losing while outhitting our opponent. Sadly they have more runs than hits.
  22. Burgerflickle. This team has some spunk, I'm really looking forward to having them put together an all around solid night. Hopefully tomorrow for Big Ben.
  23. COME ON PRINCE, CAP OFF A GREAT NIGHT WITH YOUR FIRST CAREER GRAND SALAMI.
