    I guess I would take exception to factoring in LaPorta into any of our outfield plans. a) he's not even played an inning of pro ball yet b) he's not a left fielder yet Until a kid gets to AA, it's not even worth thinking about depth chart issues. But yeah, I agree with most of your other tradeables (minus Gillespie, who's still to far away to worry about)

    Nix's career OPS vs righties: .718 OPS vs lefties: .505 2007 OPS vs righties: .448 OPS vs lefties: .250 I know Laynce is an athletic and exciting player. I know he's been known to punish the ball in AAA, but he's the dictionary definition of AAAA. His splits aren't even any good... I'm by no means a Mench fan but, unless you think he's suddenly forgotten how to hit lefties, his splits are at least worth _something_.

Someone FedEx those mo fo's to Ned please. ] Positioning is Sveum's deal... and "mofo" is a abbreviation for a word that is banned here, making that word banned as well. I know, it's harsh, but that's how we roll...

    [ I can't see why Nix is on our team anymore. He seems the most likely to be traded. (Also, if he gets traded that open a spot for Gwynn in AAA) ] He's a decent trade throw-in. I'm assuming he's still with the org because anything approaching a fair deal hasn't come along yet. Melvin's usually pretty fair to players... If a team inquired about him, I don't think Melvin would let much stand in the way of him being traded.

    [ Well, I feel dumb once again. I geuss since I've been on the stats pages at Yahoo a lot and never seen the splits link I didn't take the time to read the description you guys had. Thanks for the help guys. ] The nice thing about the Yahoo splits are that they go back to 1987, where as with ESPN, you're forced to pick from only very recent data and not aggregate it all, if that player has a long-ish career (like Jenks)

Your loss ] Actually, Out of the Cellar was my 2nd cassette tape, when I was about 8 years old (I think). I tease, because it's fun... And I take the teasing back, because I know there's all kinds of crap that I like that's ridiculous. And yes, leather pants and poofy bangs on dudes are ridiculous. I don't think you would debate that.

I want to make this site the easiest to use and the most enjoyable experience for everyone.
