[ Clearly, Braun is the best option at third. I just don't see how you can keep Counsell as anything other than a backup SS/2B and pinch-runner. ] He didn't have to make any defensive plays yesterday to "show off" his arm... I think there's valid viewpoint talent-wise as well as financially to keep him in AAA to get some more reps before having him kiss the minors goodbye. -

I think complaining about Kent's announcing is a valid point of view... If they're going to broadcast it, they should make sure it's professional. However, the make-a-wish comment was surely in poor taste.

[ I feel bad when I hear Kent. Is he mildly mentally @#%$ maybe and this is a "make a wish"? ] Hate to be a buzzkill, but that's pretty offensive.

[ I don't think that there should be any such thing as an error, it is someone else's outside opinion of wheather or not a play should have been made through the eyes of someone in the pressbox. I think they should just rule out the stat all together, I just don't know how they should judge fielding then. ] Boo decibels per play.

[ Thanks for saying it Brian. I think nearly everybody visiting this board would like to "suck" as much as Sarfate. I know I was never good enough to play minor league ball, not to mention get a spring training invite. ] In all fairness, "sucks" is a relative term. Obviously, anyone in baseball sucks much less than I do at baseball... however, given a comparison to another major league player, he or she may suck. Dennis still doesn't suck, even using that comparison. He'll be a major leaguer for years, I believe.

If Dennis continues to struggle, even though it's S/T, he'll be optioned. That's the one thing that's working against him... Besides, it's not like he's not going to be the first bullpen arm called up when the first reliever goes down. But Dennis sucks?... hardly.
