    We (the moderators) have been getting a few PM's over the past couple of weeks of people causing trouble in the chat rooms. While we all recognize that the chat room is more of an "anything goes" type atmosphere, I need to stress that all the rules outlined in the FAQ are still enforced in the chat room. Specifically, we've seen some name-calling (of users, not players) and cursing. While I know frustrations are high right now with the team's poor play (understatement), we need to keep the chat room usable and enjoyable for all users. Therefore, if you find that someone is causing a lot of problems in the chat room, please cut & paste the chat log with the offensive portion in a private message to me. If someone violates a rule for the first time, they'll be warned. If it's a second offense, they'll be dismissed. I know people claim that things "slip out", but just think twice before you hit the enter button. Thanks in advance...

    I've removed the ads from the forum pages until I can figure out what's going on. The minimal revenue I get from those ads isn't worth that kind of hassle for you guys.

    It's not ezBoard, it's AdBrite which I use for ads at the bottom of the page. What the heck? I've never approved one of those types of ads, because they're so intrusive and annoying. I'll look into it.

    Looking forward to the game tonight. White House is TOUGH, but I enjoy playing against the tough teams. I'd rather play a team that can throw strikes and keep the game fun and moving.

    [ Are you talking about the robot-looking Cylons with the red eye thingie, or the humanoid-looking Cylons? ] The humanoid-looking ones, naturally. The other kind can't fit into uniforms.

    [ I don't care if he is Asian, Blue or Cylon. If he throws a shut-out, good by me. ] I guess I sort of disagree. If he was a Cylon, i'd be concerned about his motives.

    [ I think it might have something to do with his race that Brewers fans don't like ohka all that much. I'm not kidding. ] I was an Asian Studies minor in college. I used to wear a Hanshin Tigers cap wherever I went. I'm not a big Tomo Ohka fan, and it's got nothing to do with race. I don't think he's worth 4.5M, and I would have liked to see him dealt in the offseason. With that said, I welcome him back, and hope he has a fantastic start.

    Had a fantastic night tonight. Wonderful pitching performance by Robin19; had them swinging at bad pitches because he had so many called strikes. Some tremendous D, and timely hitting. Fun game, all around.

    [ (Do you list Brewerfan.net on your resume?) ] I do, actually. I don't list it under the "experience" section, but i'll put it under the additional info-type section, and include all the toolsets I use to create brewerfan under my skills. It's come in very handy at times.

    I've decided to accept a job as a consultant in Madison, and as a result, will be moving there hopefully sometime within the next couple of months. During this time, i'll probably be absent from the site quite a bit, as i've got a boatload of work to do on my house to get it saleable. Hopefully as a result, we can have a bigger presence in Madison as far as gatherings and things go as well. I'm planning on looking into the idea of getting a softball team together as well.

    Hopefully by then i'll be living in Madison, so you'll have to count me out. However, i've been thinking about starting up a Madison chapter of BF.net softball.

    I don't mind losing, but I hate losing to arrogant drunken jerks. Nothin' like talking smack in the freaking social league, and yelling when we're trying to swing. Pretty classy. I'd rather get beat 50-1 with the nice group of guys that we have than win with guys like that. Houlie with the catch of the season tonight. If it were the MLB, it would have been a web gem for sure. I'm looking very forward to next week, playing a team that's not Bay Street Pub.

I blame my bad offensive production on the fact that their pitchers are working around me because I don't have adequate protection http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif But seriously, I don't care where I hit. As long as I get a couple of at-bats a game, i'm happy.
