  1. According to today's Nashville game notes, Mike Adams has been activated from the disabled list after suffering an oblique strain back on 07/18. Also RHP Clint Weibl is on the Nashville D.L. dated back to 8/10, with a right hand contusion.
  2. [ There should be no talk of the wild card while we are presently under .500. Unless you're in the NL West, below .500 means you have no business thinking about playoffs... .500 or above, anything goes. ] Are you being sarcastic?
  3. I know it hasn't been long, but 0 errors so far for Salome in his stint at WV.
  4. Yeah, it's broken. ezBoard is aware of the problem... if you're really hard up for spell checking, you can paste your post in Word and then check it before you post...
  5. [ 5) Brady Clark should not be a leadoff hitter. He swings at the first pitch, every time. And he is not fast. ] On 0-0, Clark's hitting .412.
  6. [ Brian, Is it safe to assume that the club is still in negotiations with the younger Weeks and that we just hadn't heard anything either way? ] I would assume that's the case... seeing as how he would have to show up for classes at Miami in the not-to-distant future and become ineligible to sign with the Brewers, it's probably at the top of their to-do list.
  7. two road series wins in a row. AWESOME.
  8. [ I'm sorry if this is dense...but did Jemile sign or was this sarcastic? ] We initially had received word a month or two ago that Jemile had decided to sign with the Brewers (not that he HAD signed, but that he had _decided_ to go pro and sign with the club). I'm not sure if he just hasn't gotten the offer he was expecting or what, but he's not signed with the club at this time.
  9. notepad, as in the built-in text editor that comes with Windows. (under accessories in the start menu, I believe)
  10. There's two tricks to this.... First, you need to get data formatted using a plain text editor like notepad.. something where you're using a fixed width font (where each character is as wide as all the others, like courier). Next, you need to use the "code" tags.... like this: my stats are here That tags will make your data show up in a courier font.
  11. When you're posting a message or a reply, there's a "link" button to the left of the text input window. When you click it, it guides you through the two-step process of pasting a link.

  13. I'm not a big fan of "in play, no out recorded".
  14. [ Interesting to hear everyone's thoughts on what has gone wrong and why, but I place the blame at the feet of Lyle Overbay today... He is our #3 hitter... Brady and Rickie have reached base 7 of 10 times... Lee and Jenkins are mashing... ] When the Brewers have scored 7 runs and can't win a game, my thoughts immediately turn to the pitching staff.
  15. [ I'm new to the site, looking at ordering a couple shirts or something, are there small window decals to be found anywhere? ] Unfortunately, we're limited as to what our store offers... what you see is what you get.
  16. [ Shoot. 2 more runs to overcome. Not that I'm surprised. With Lehr pitching this inning I had the feeling he'd get wacked. ] Yeah, but don't you pretty much predict everyone's going to fail?
  17. [ these guys are killing me... but I have it planned that my body physically will die at the same time the brewer torture has mentally finished me ] So why do you keep coming back for more if it stings so much? I know you're on another continent, but I should start a yoga relaxation class for Brewers fans.
  18. [ Way to put it into perspective for me there...that's true. It's easier said than done, but it's true ] It involves a lot of deep breathing http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  19. [ By never holding the team to high standards like I do, all you do is make losing okay. Sorry, It's not okay in my book. ] Not that I feel strongly either way on the issue... but what's the point of a fan holding the team to a "high standard"? That just seems like it leads to higher blood pressure. I used to live and die with the team, riding the highs and getting violently angry on the lows... but it's much easier to ride high on the highs, and just see the lows for what they are.
  20. For all of you Yost haters.... The "walk em and pick em off" strategy was a complete success! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  21. [ Moeller is so bad. I hope he is not a member of the 2006 Milwaukee Brewers. ] He's arby eligible, and pretty much by default due a raise... I'd say there's pretty much no chance he's back next year.
  22. [ Hate to pile on, but every so often I feel like everyone in the stadium plus a nationwide TV audience can tell a pitcher is done, and yet Ned and Maddux have to see a detonation just to be sure. DD has worked his way out of a lot of jams, but who thought he was going to get out of this one? Anyone? ] I'm a fan of saving the bullpen and normally an avid defender of Yost, but DD was clearly laboring...
  23. Today's starting lineups: 1 Brady Clark, CF Jose Reyes, SS 2 Rickie Weeks, 2B Miguel Cairo, 2B 3 Lyle Overbay, 1B Mike Cameron, RF 4 Carlos Lee, LF Carlos Beltran, CF 5 Geoff Jenkins, RF David Wright, 3B 6 Russell Branyan, 3B Mike Piazza, C 7 J.J.
