Yeah, and if they win both a bunch of people will say the exact same thing a week later the day after a loss. -
If Woodruff can stand on the mound and move his arm they're going to give him a start in the playoffs. Just me maybe but I'm not worried about the starters.

Couple of chances now to put the Phillies back on the ropes after they started to close the gap. Happy they got 1 anyway.

It's a Bad Mears day. :( Lineup needed more than 1 run out of that 4th inning against a team like the Phillies.

FWIW, and it's not worth much, I'm not really worried about the starting pitching in the playoffs at all. I AM worried about the lineup in the playoffs, which is partly rational and partly a reaction to the fact that the Brewers haven't hit well in the playoffs for years.

Looking increasingly likely that he'll stay in the rotation until the playoffs (or at least until the Brewers start playing meaningless games). We'll see I guess, now that they're in a stretch where they will actually have a reasonable number of off days.

Wouldn't have bet on getting out of that 5-3. Great job by Ashby, particularly against Schwarber.

Although there is some upside to having Chourio lead off I suppose, but every AB he gets with a runner on is pretty valuable.

Even if they can't I admire the resourcefulness to help them navigate the bullpen/pitching crunch they're in.

Remember when Doug Melvin would bring up like 3 or 4 players and then complain when other teams brought up 10 back when the September roster limit was 40? It was like clockwork there for a while and I always wondered why the reporters he'd complain too never asked him why he didn't just call up 10 guys too.
