  1. I suspect this is correct. I was interested to see what they'd do with him in this stretch of 19 games in 18 days but they apparently concluded they couldn't artificially limit his innings/pitches to save his arm. I do think they'll take him out of the rotation at some point if they can rather than turn him into an opener. How he'll transition to bullpen work is above my paygrade. But I just don't see them leaving him in the rotation for 5 or 6 more starts and then possibly in the playoffs. We'll see I guess.
  2. I'm not. I'm fine with it. He's just a big dork. He'll probably stop at some point but it doesn't bother me at all.
  3. No idea why two Brewers fans are arguing on a Brewers fan gamethread when the Brewers are up 6-0. I get why people get tense when they aren't playing well. But not now! Eat drink and be merry, ya filthy animals!
  4. I doubt it, particularly after the DBacks managed to foul off enough pitches that they got his count into the mid-20s that inning. No idea how they made as much contact as they did.
  5. Yeah, and don't be made that he had that post ready to go and then had to sit on it while the Brewers were up 5 and then 6 runs so he could break it out when things went sideways. But, yeah, don't be mad at him Aside: is there an ignore function on this site?
  6. He's a bull dog. Quintana has that too even though he's a different kind of pitcher, and he's pretty near the end now so that sometimes even his guile and competitiveness isn't enough. Woodruff has some years left in him and while he may never be the pitcher he was before he's going to be effective for a few years on the field and more than that in the clubhouse. I'm not sure they'll offer him what it will take but it'd be nice to see him here for a while yet.
  7. That throw back to Woodruff was... interesting. At first I thought Woodruff fired it into the dugout or to the ball boy. Went back and watched it again and he just tossed it to Contreras who, I'm assuming, threw it away towards the ball boy. Got me thinking, but nothing to it I'm sure.
