  1. Mine sold for 69.00. I thought/hoped it would get in the high 70's or so, but whatever. My extra bobbleheads are almost completely gone, which is a good thing. Anyone looking for an extra Capuano, Daron and Bill, Jeff Suppan, or Bill Hall? I also have like 5 or 6 of the Uecker Nesting dolls and the Braves nesting dolls. So many people left those under their seats it was ridiculous.
  2. Rick Schlesinger said earlier on WSSP that he is hoping that they can order more to the fan store so people don't have to try to get one off ebay. He said the biggest advantage to this is that the mold is still around so getting more shouldn't be a problem. It's just getting the go ahead to do so or something along those lines.
  3. One of the guys I work with called the team store and they have roughly 100 to sell. People have been in line for hours for them already so he decided not to waste his time. The Brewers generally have some really good ideas and marketing, but they manage to really not think things through 100% in my opinion. Had they just had "where's Bernie?" going on for a week or and left it a mystery without clues and dropped them all off at random parks with no hints, and then twittered saying "By the way, there's lawn ornaments scattered throughout the state at various parks" and left it at that I think that could've had a lot better potential. And could anyone honestly complain? It'd be a lot more random and people like that one lady couldn't manage to get 35 (not 27 as initially thought). I'm stoked I got one, but whenever they do certain promotions it seems like there's 1000 happy people and 5,000 upset ones. But I'm sure had they made 5000 more, that lady would got 70
  4. I got up and got out to South Shore at about 5:30 with a friend. We each took a side and ran through the park but there wasn't anything. Apparently some lady got 8 of the 10 or so that were there. We were gonna go to Humboldt park, but figured if there was 1000 at the lake that was our best bet. We didn't care about the free tickets/prizes as much as just getting one anyway. So we went down there. Parking was a zoo but found a spot and then saw the crowd. My friend and I jogged over there and both managed to get one. The people down there were pretty friendly telling us the area that still had some available. Wait a week or two and these things will come way down from that 75-100ish mark I'd imagine. That lady with 27 was called out by name on 1250 WSSP.
  5. I have a plain white box. and bobblewrap. I can understand it to an extent. Though I'm one of those that doesn't care terribly much since as soon as I get it it's goin on a shelf anyway. If there was graphics on the box, it would probably matter more, but the early bobbles that come in plain white boxes, whatever.
  6. There was no touchups at all. I dunno what that guy was thinking. it looks mint to me. Anyway, I put it up there with it starting at 39.99 and a BIN of 115. Someone messaged me about the styrofoam. I can't believe boxes make that much a difference to deciding whether to bid or not.
  7. I have the 89-92 sets in storage. i was hoping they went for more, but not surprised. What does the Griffey card fetch these days?
  8. Since they were with the Mariners (I believe) I never bothered on this. Does this bobble normally go for much more than the bidding ended at? I have no interest in it, just curious. Side note: anyone have an extra 03 Fang they are willing to get rid of/trade? Corey
  9. Since this is the only area I post in for the most part I thought I should just share it here. Went into the stadium today and saw Zack throwing long ball, then short toss. The Brewers did a ceremony for the United States vets and afterward Greinke threw some more. When he was finishing up, I yelled down to him and he threw me his warm up ball. Pretty awesome, after the 3rd I was starting to get really jacked, but by the end of the game I was just stoked he got the win. I hadn't been this excited about getting something from a player since Pedro Martinez signed a ball for me 6 years ago before the Ben Sheets bobblehead game. Awesome.
  10. Fielder. Though I wouldn't be surprised if neither shows up. However, Greinke did do the On Deck, so he did his part for the year.
  11. hmmm, wonder how hard it would be to mold a piece of styrofoam. i'll probably just use a box from an ads bobblehead and wrap it up with bubblewrap. a lot of early bobbles came this way. i won't claim it as "new in box" just that is comes in a box. i'm curious to see how the "touchups" look. it was really tough to see any differences in the pictures. my fiance is also an art junkie with tons of paints and whatnot. she said she can probably figure out a color scheme and fix anything if it looks minor. what a gal!
  12. just got one for 36 (with shipping). no box. but i have a ton of white boxes i can use. turbo, was when you got yours did it come in a styrofoam mold or bubblewrap? this one said it had a few minor touchups. i dunno what that means, from the pictures i thought it looked in good enough shape. I figured if nothing else, i can still flip it with a box to get my money back. it was listed as Mr 3000 rare Bernie Mac limited edition. if it had said brewers anywhere in there i bet it woulda caught more attention as a BIN.
  13. 100:1 odds Fielder shows. Any takers?
  14. When you get to New Orleans, get a shrimp or catfish po'boy for sure. The other worthwhile place to check out a Cafe Du Monde. It's just a coffee shop, but they serve up beignet (pronounced ben-yay) which are similar to doughnuts. It seems like one of the things New Orleans should be known better for, but it seems many tourists dont. Also the I'm not sure how far along they are with the 9th ward, it is interesting to drive through it. Not sure how many of the homes are still up and if they've been able to demolish all of them. Three years ago you could drive through and see where the worst of the floods occurred. There's an area where they plowed over all the homes and put up pink shelters to show where new houses will be built. We called it Brad Pittsburgh since he contributed greatly to it.
  15. Just read this on cbssports and was gonna post it. My grandfather, a dentist, fixed his teeth once in Milwaukee and began following him as a player and was a fan of his. While, I never saw him play but met him once. A very nice man. I wish him and his family the best in final days.
  16. Now I just gotta find one.
  17. I'll be heading out there on Friday (the day after the last day of teaching) to catch all three games. We'll be coming home Tuesday morning before catching a flight out. Three of the guys in our group are going to the basketball hall of fame while out there, while I plan on just going out to the Sam Adams brewery and just walking around. We got the Shereidan for each night. I'm hoping I can use that as an autograph opportunity assuming the Brewers are staying there again. Any of you that have been to Fenway in the past, how much can I expect to pay for a beer and a dog? How much am I looking at for a beer around that area? I've found some good places to eat from Man Vs Food and No Reservations, but any other worthwhile places to eat would be great too. Finally, is it easy to tour Fenway? Do you make reservations in advance, how much should I be looking to spend on that? Thanks!
  18. Anyone get a "Manny" bobblehead? Is there a picture of it somewhere? I just sold 14 commons on ebay and the beloit snappers retail snappy to pay for my plane tickets to the Boston series. Pretty stoked about that. I had also sold a handful (8 or 9?) previously to pay for the JJ Hardy Mavs and "Homer" Stars bobbles on ebay from CCD7. Which makes my list of my needs to have all of them through this year down to the following: 2002 Indianapolis "Rowdie" 2004 Indianapolis Bob Uecker 2008 Helena Ryan Braun Alternate 2011 Brevard County "Manny" Pleae contact me if you are willing to part with any of these, and please give me a price. I might have something worked out with CCD7 on the Helena Braun, which is currently the easiset of the 4 to get off eBay. Corey
  19. Turbo, for all those months asking and praying for people to trade with you for those and the Mr. 3000, yer patience really paid off. Jealousy is sinking in.
  20. LOL@JJKoestler. As soon as they pop up on eBay they'll catch 30-40 tops. Majority of the Snapper bobbleheads (the second Prince, the second Weeks, gallardo, etc) all catch between 25-35. I can't imagine these will for some reason hit the 55 mark. Can you post a picture of it though?
  21. On the Carlos Lee one of my friends gave me his and the eyes looked completely bloodshot. I took it home to notice that the ones I had looked a little red, but the one I had was like a Linda Blair parody. I'm not sure about the hoffman either, I thought they were too concerned with getting his high kick exact, though I think they could've dont it to scale and kept it bigger. The 2005 Sheets he is in his windup and that looks good. Wierd.
  22. This is the equivalent of "My name is Kieth and I'm here to say I like to rap in a major way." I might just have thrown up in my mouth. They could've at least took the time to edit the shots together so there wasn't that annoying pause between scenes. Nice "Major League" tattoo. Tool. Times like this really wish I could curse on here. Instead I will just forward the link to everyone I know so they can suffer, also.
  23. Congrats Turbo. As far as I'm concerned, the Beloit Fielder is the "holy grail" of Brewers bobbles
  24. On a side note, the dual package Braun Helena's jumped 50 bucks in the last 30 seconds. I watched it at $73 for the last two hours and as soon as I was putting my bid it was past what I could spend. I figured if I could get it for under 90 it'd be a steal as I could flip the white Helena for 25-30. Oh well, I just bought plane tickets to go to the Boston series, I probably should save my money for a 15 dollar beer.
