  1. didja check stubhub? that's probably yer best bet.
  2. I can't say I paid $350 for it, but I know my mom spent a fair amount on a signed Favre jersey in 2004 for my college graduation. The framing cost the same as the jersey, whatever that was. (225-250?)
  3. 100-110 maybe? Those jerseys are about 75 to begin with. Though I don't know how much attraction they draw because it's a replica. I'd hold off. Based on that video where Rodgers and Matthews were heading to a plane, Clay is willing to sign jerseys. Maybe you can hit him up somehow next season? eBay has signed authentics up there pretty often. Good luck.
  4. thanks bobble. im pretty much over it now, but it still helps http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  5. Amen Turbo. I'd be pretty opeing to any of those. But again, I'd love to see a Cirillo one. As much as I'd love a George Scott one, I kinda think the 70's Brewers lore doesn't really exist and the turnout might not be that good. Sixto could go the same way. Any other ones would be neat. I spose the big thing is get rid of the alternates. Instead of doing the white jersey all the time with the retro alternate, why not do just a gray, or just a navy road, or just a white. I'm kinda bored with the retros. I'd love to see anyone in the 90's blue unis. If your going to do a breast cancer awareness, do a Bonnie Brewer PPPPPPPPLLLLLEEEEEEEAAAAAAASSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEE. Doesn't a pink hot dog just remind everyone of a dog's phallis? Just sayin Mr Schlesinger or Mr Steinmiller.
  6. I'll also say that I kinda enjoyed the lottery system, though I didn't win. My friend went with his family and got 4 brauns. I was offered one, but turned it down since I figured he was only signing cards. Later he was signing while I was in line for Marcum and just missed him. Everyone I know who was there got a Greinke but me, which was a total bummer (Miggs, if you wanna work out any kinda deal on yer extra, please contact me ASAP). Still did pretty well. The Rummage was kinda chaotic, I hit the gate and started rummaging through the ST/BP jerseys to find out the real deal ones were 15 feet to my left, by the time I realized it there was too big of a mob to get in there so I managed to get to the GU bats area, got a Damian Miller, just missed on a batting helmet with #2 on the back (Hall or Inglett?), ended up picking up a Bush and Villanueva ball, Brian Super Collector snagged a team ball, I musta just missed out on that as well. After that went back to the GU jerseys but everything was already gone except a signed Suppan and some Stan Kyles garb. Still got a ST Gagne jersey. Lo Cain and Escobar didn't have jerseys available. Anyone see a Cameron or Hall? Those were the four I was initially hoping for. From there I was able to get balls signed by Wolf, Counsell (who I found out rides the Oak Leaf trail and inscribed "Blue Dukes" (his high school's nickname), Kentrail Davis, Eric Farris, Marcum, Rogers, Axford and signed cards by Heckathorn and whoever was signing with him (name escapes me). At the memorabilia area I picked up a George Scott ball with 2 inscriptions, a Johnny Logan ("57 champs"), and a Jenkins (03 AS) for 90. Later on I convinced myself I needed a Sounds fitted hat for 25 (Stars hats were 10 but by the time I got over there only the real small or real big were left). I'd say all and all I had a pretty good day outside of the 10-15 minutes I was bummed out that everyone else I knew there got Greinke except me. Nice to hear Braun is signing and inscribing (and sweet spotting?) whatever again. Hope everyone else came up big. I'm sure Brian will post his haul soon enough (thanks again for the updates throughout the day, it really helped!)
  7. If this does turn out to be true, is it worth writing a letter with these thoughts? I mean I appreciate the giveaways, but maybe they just "somehow" didn't realize the demand for a Simmons, Cirillo, Scott or Higuera? I thought they'd do a Bonnie Brewer for the pitch and stich last year. Maybe that's the plan for this year if they choose to do it? Still think next year they'll cut down. Again, with our rotation and chance to compete each day, do we really need that many bobblehead promotions each year?
  8. they're doing the McGehee, Grienke, Wolf, Axford, Counsell, a pink racing hot dog for breast cancer awareness. Maybe a Gallardo. My buddy at the bar told me his ticket rep claimed only 6 were gonna happen. Not 100%. I'd much rather see a Gallardo than another sausage. Can't wait till 2016 when the pink racing bratwurst happens. Guh.
  9. thank you sir. I assumed it was similar to chiles rellanos except not fried in batter. this very well could be my appetizer for the super bowl.
  10. Kelby, at the on deck he'll only be signing 5x7 cards. If he's willing to sign at the stadium, his restaraunt or another area, he may sign your jersey. It'll be personalized, but he may sign it. If you don't want it personalized, be on the lookout online for a private signing. Mikita had one last year where he'll sign your jersey for 100 or 125? Which, if you take into consideration, it's really only 60 more than if you go to the on deck, minus the time you'd have to wait in line or other factors. If I ever get a Braun Jersey to be signed, that's the route I'll be going.
  11. woof. so glad I got Pujols years ago for something around 25-30 on an OMLBB. Van, while I don't collect anything but Brewers anymore, when I did collect sigs from all teams, I would have been envious. Verlander twice is pretty good. How much do they charge for signatures? I probably woulda tried to get Zumaya and have him inscribe "guitar hero '06"
  12. rawbecht, that sounds AMAZING. maybe a little monterray jack in there? two quick questions, i'm guessing you precook the chorizo before stuffing it? do you use a full strip of bacon? please get back to me on this, asap.
  13. Funketown, I was that guy about 12 years ago, but after leaving for school my Simpson's watching decreased. Now I've probably only seen 70% of the episodes. For those who want to know about "sending it," it's something my cousins and I came up with where you give it your all, or 110%, mostly while under the influence of alcohol. "Who wants to shotgun a beer?" "SEND IT!"
  14. baked potato soup sounds excellent. crock pot cooking is the way to go. burnie: won the chili cookoff, placed in the top 6 of the cribbage tourney. caught cold cards to the eventual winner.
  15. Houlie, Pitch, yer on. Hawning - I probably woulda posted that, but only you and I (and maybe Jamie) would have any idea what I was talkin about http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  16. I'm assuming you can get a coupon for all 5 and hope you draw one? Looks like I'll be going for Wolf, Marcum or Lucroy, possibly Axford and the prospects. How accessible do you think Mark A or Doug Melvin will be? What prospects do you feel are the "must get?" I'm shooting for Mark Rogers and Kentrail Davis. I'm starting to get excited about this.
  17. This is obviously for Sunday, but it can be based on Brewers games too, so no need to put this in Lambeau Leap. If you go to a friends house for a sporting event potluck, what do you tend to bring? We've been going to different homes since week 14 and there's been a ton of stuff. I'm pretty competent in the kitchen so I'm just trying to get some new ideas. Before the Philly game we had a chili cookoff / cribbage tournament with about 24 people. Total blast. I'm thinking of doing a stew this week.
  18. I quit smoking about 16 months ago when smokes went from 6 to 7. Every other tax increase I've found ways to make it work, but when the lady told me it was 7.25 that the new tax had started, I quit right then. I thought that that was way too expensive. Theres a few things you can do: If you need that fixation, take a bic pen and cut it to the size of a cigarette: you can use that to flick around, put in yer mouth, or chew on. (toothpicks work too) Get a bag of sunflower seeds and keep them on you all the time. Suckers or hard candy. If drinking or coffee gives you the desire to smoke, be alert of it, and make sure you have one of the three above. The first 10 days I didn't smoke (the hardest 10 days to most people), watch how much your having so you don't have an urge, and keep one of those three things above with you. Figure out how much you spend per week and put that aside in a jar or envelope. After a month go treat yerself to a nice dinner or something. You'll be amazed. Good luck, it took me about 6 attempts over 10 years. Once I went for 11 months before a tough semester broke me down. With the smoking ban, it's much easier to be in public.
  19. -making breakfast tacos -trash talking -tecmo super bowl
  20. Dale Svuem - 2008 Wild Card manager (3 year anniversary)
  21. I thought maybe that Balk Off back in 2003 or 2004 would be on there. How could I have forgot the "OH NO!" game against the Cubs.
  22. I'm not. I got him plenty of times before he was under contract. I'm just backing up what BSC pointed out.
  23. I don't think anyone is blaming the player directly, but it is "the Ryan Braun Rule." He opted to do that in his contract with Mikita (It is Mikita right?). There are ways he could have worked around signing at certain Brewers events if he wanted to. Fielder was supposed to only sign player cards last year, and Uecker the previous year but both gave in after some fan bickering apparently. Braun won't budge because he's under contract.
  24. I think the lottery guesses are right on BSC, though maybe not McGehee. Glad I got all those guys a long time ago, with the exception of Greinke. Marcum is probably the only sure thing for me besides the prospects.
  25. I hate the new process. It could work in my favor, possibly, but highly unlikely. Am I correct that you can get a coupon for Braun, Greinke, and Gallardo? Or do I just have to choose one? I think it's garbage that one can show up at noon and get Greinke while someone else gets there at 8am. I'll just buy one off eBay the next day, sadly someone will try to get 125 for it buy it now. I'll bid up to 65.
