  1. RyDogg, they have a ton of kids opportunities where they can interact with the players. Last year Vaughn and others were in a kids zone playing games and teaching them various things about the game. I'm sure they'll have a blast.
  2. They should just make a rule that nobody over the age of 15 can get an autograph. Well, that'd be one way to really bring down the attendance. Molitor Fan, what would make this event better for you? For two hours each player will have a 5 minute conversation with fans? This isn't speed dating. Thats what the Q&A session is for. They already moved the Autograph Fridays to 14 and under, having collected autos from players since I was in middle school, collecting Brewers memorabilia has become my only hobby. I'd like to think that because I am older now that I can still partake in it. I don't plan on getting a team ball signed. I think people that line up at 3am for Black Friday are nuts, so I don't go. But those that put in the effort to show up at that time should be given an edge for showing up early. Now it looks like I'll have a better chance of just waiting until the day after the event to bid on whoever's signature on eBay, doing exactly what the Brewers are trying to prevent.
  3. Ya know, I like going to this event, however, each year they say how thankful they are for how supportive the fans are. Yet, when it comes to an autograph session and giving back, they are constantly finding new rules and regulations to make it more and more difficult for fans to get a signature. If you really want a player, show up 5 hours early and get it. If a guy decides to do that and then pay 25 bucks just to turn it around and sell it on eBay for 40 or 60 bucks, fine. He just worked for 3 bucks an hour. I'll be going as I already have a ticket, but this could be the final year.
  4. do you have any television series? i'm in the same boat you are in, i'd like to get rid of a buncha my dvds, but i don't think it'd be worth it for what i'd get in return.
  5. i had heard it was given away to cast/crew and extras at the movie. not really sure how many were made or anything. I luckily got mine right when it came out for like 25 or 30. Mine may have originally had a box, but I got it wrapped in bubble wrap, and the box it came in was taped up and had a USPS label on there....I just threw it out not thinking it coulda been the real box.
  6. whatever they come up with, I really hope there isn't alernates. i'm actually looking forward to the season where there is only three bobbleheads without any alternates. I think we're at the point where most players have a bobble, and we shouldn't need a promotion to draw fans...
  7. Good Fellas Requiem For A Dream City Of God Boyz In The Hood Memento Ghostbusters Clerks Battle Royale Casino Rushmore Bottle Rocket
  8. These are the only guys I think should be in any consideration on that list. Mike Caldwell 19 votes 33.3% Jeff Cirillo 11 votes 19.3% Teddy Higuera 35 votes 61.4% Ben Oglivie 22 votes 38.6% Dan Plesac 15 votes 26.3% George Scott 11 votes 19.3% Ted Simmons 17 votes 29.8% Greg Vaughn 10 votes 17.5% Pete Vuckovich 20 votes 35.1% Del Crandall 12 votes 21.1% Johnny Logan 26 votes 45.6% Joe Adcock 20 votes 35.1%
  9. nice. thanks! wish I woulda seen this earlier, I wouldn't mind getting Cirillo again and getting Vina.
  10. there's a Mr. 3000 on ebay right now. It's currently at 31.51 with two days left. Get in there.
  11. yeah, i'd also appreciate this. I'm still bummed I missed out on Johnny Logan awhile back. Do any of the current Brewers do any regular signings as of late? Seems like the only time you can possibly get them is at On Deck or Block Parties. Though I could be entirely wrong.
  12. Cappy, Thanks for being such a competitor during your time in Milwaukee. I was so proud of your return and determination after that second Tommy John. I was bummed out when I had found out you wouldn't be returning to the Brewers, but will be rooting for you in the Apple. Your a class act and the few times I met you at an autograph Friday I always enjoyed the few moments we conversed about recent positives. Thanks again, I wish more athletes approached the game the way you do. Good luck Caps! Corey
  13. dang...i still want a johnny logan sig....i need to pay more attention to these things
  14. the ripper - judas priest
  15. Gallardo Grienke McGehee Counsell Attanasio I think they are garaunteed 3 million with the Grienke and Marcum moves. I kinda hope they scale back on the number of bobbles they give out. I would like to see Cirillo get one. I don't want the Brewers to do another Yount one ever again.
  16. BSC you've really been doing well on those Gonzaga shows. I'm gonna try to hit one up soon, it's been awhile since I've gone.
  17. I want to know more how the lottery will work to decide what time to go at. The obvious plan is to get a lottery ticket for every player possible and go from there. I don't really need to get there at 7am to stand in line for Counsell.
  18. Today we lost the oldest living Hall Of Famer. I had the opportunity to meet him 3 times, each time he was very friendly, and took the time to talk to my younger cousins about thier little league positions. They still talk about it now that they are in college. RIP Rapid Robert.
  19. I don't mind if Marcum throws 88, but can he get a game over with in under 3 and a half hours? Last year was brutal as far as game length.
  20. I grabbed a pretty nice Cameron bat with a small crack in the handle, probably the one decktard was referring to. Picked up a McClung tee, and a put my name down for a pair of seats. The guy said I could probably get a pair with the Miller Park logo on an aisle seat, and am hoping I can get some with padding. 20 minutes after leaving I kicked myself for not getting an Edmonds shirt. I had called my friend who was heading over there after work, but by the time he got there, all the Edmonds were gone.
  21. They've done a good job of bringing in the top prospects each year. I'll be hoping for Jeffress and Rogers too. I do have a HR Derby ball I'd like Prince to sign, but don't know if I'll go for it. It'd be great if they brought in retired players as well. Meeting Vaughn last year was the highlight for me.
  22. Just read there is gonna be a lottery for some players? Autograph sessions will be staggered during the event, and autograph tickets-ranging from free to $25 each-will be available on the day of the event only. There will be 250 autograph coupons available for each player and coach at the event. Coupons for certain players will be available via a lottery process. I probably won't be going for any big name players, but I'd kinda feel bad for those that wait in line for 5 hours, only to find out they won't get someone because they missed the lottery.
  23. Craig Counsell
  24. I'm guessing it will be closer to 175 tops. With Christmas coming up, collectors probably can't get their wife to bid that much, and they gotta buy presents for their kids too. I think a better question is, how much would you pay for a bobble? I think my highest is 75. Twice. Edit: It's at 178 with 4 days left. Woof!
  25. I'll be out of town so will probably not get a chance to see this. Hope it can be found elsewhere by the end of the weekend. If anyone can find it online, please put up a link to those of us not forunate to catch it Friday. Thanks.
