The timing of either/both of them getting to the majors is not known……especially Made……just because Chourio zoomed to the majors at 20 doesn’t remotely mean Made will have the same trajectory……..if he does great but lots can happen between now and then. By the time they both get here and are ready to start ( assuming that happens) they might be looking to trade Ortiz or Turang to make room…….lots of potential outcomes.

1.5 million is not pocket change……especially to small market teams. There is virtually no chance they extend him so you hope he doesn’t get mad but it’s not like they are being unfair with him…….he will get a. number that both sides agree on or an arbiter will decide…….either way it’s just business……he will get paid well no matter what happens.

The Brewers agreed with the market……nobody wanted him for 5 million. So whoever signs him will get him for less…… small market teams try not to waste money……even though bad signings are inevitable from time to time. -
