    I’m not sold on Weeks as a manager……never been impressed with him as a communicator…….which I view as hugely important in that role. i guess I don’t have a strong preference for anyone that I’ve heard mentioned…..just hope they can come to a decision soon.

    As we look forward to the uncertaintiy of this offseason let’s take at least a little comfort that the guy calling the shots acquired William Contreras for Esteury Ruiz……’ and then had the stones to say that’s not quite enough…….and got them to throw in Joel Payamps and another pitching prospect who may or may not turn out to be an asset.

    I’m not saying it won’t happen but the part about pairing him with a “ young bench coach” to groom for succession appears to be speculation by Hogg.

    If they are going into a rebuild trading Peralta makes sense…….his value will never be higher and by the time we are ready to compete again he will be in tbe last year of his contract. At the earliest. its been a long time since we went through a multi year period of losing…….im not looking forward to losing but I am excited about seeing the kids play. it just sucks that the Bucks and Packers can keep their own players but the messed up MLB structure makes it impossible for small market teams to do it outside of rare situations.
