Godley pulling the Houdini act

It was like he was looking for a reason to call him safe…….I mean he just made up a call to do it. Does MLB comment on controversial calls like the NFL does? Probably not since I can’t remember them doing it.

Dribbler to the pitcher along the first baseline……Godley picks it up and tosses it to first…..ump rules that Godley impeded the runner and calls him safe.

It's possible he has been impressing at the Alt site......but it seems more likely that this is an indictment of just how bad Lauer and I guess Zimmerman have looked. Lauer would not have required a roster move and Zimmerman has been with the team all of spring training. You have to wonder if Zimmerman might not just retire now?........I'm sure he only agreed to stay because he thought he would be an option when they needed another starter.

Guesses on who starts tomorrow? Mine is Suter.....mostly because I don't want to think about Lauer or Zimmerman putting us in a quick 4-0 hole in the first.
