Man I had forgotten about this.......can you imagine if Williams was doing this for somebody else this year? Board would not have been happy.......but it shows why player evaluations/projections are so difficult......coming off injury nobody wanted him.....

And really kind of out of nowhere this year. I mean, he looked ok in his few innings last year, but I figured if he even made the team this year, it would be as a mop-up, get-your-feet-wet kind of guy. There was really nothing to point to last year that would indicate the dominance he's shown this year. He’s relying on the change way more this year and it’s made the fastball better......change is also slower this season so bigger speed differential to cover

Anderson pitching great......very impressive after the early homer

That Phelps trade really hasn’t worked out for the Phillies........gave up 3 runs without recording an out in 2nd game of DH......

Craig Counsell on Keston Hiura's first day out of the lineup this season: "I just thought he needed a mental break today. The at-bats, to me, there's frustration. He doesn't generally outwardly show frustration."

CC has finally seen enough of Hiura.......kid obviously needs a break.

Not sure what better options they have......Suter will have to start in the DH on Friday after pitching Sunday......Peralta could go I suppose for a few innings but then you have 2 bullpen days in 3 days.....with a DH also thrown in there to boot. They aren’t going to throw Lauer in there .........one way or another Houser is going to have to throw some innings.......just not enough depth to not pitch him.

With Houser going to tomorrow against Bauer it feels like tonight is almost a must win. I know we got to Bauer last time and he's going on short rest....just don't think its likely we beat him again....especially with Houser on the mound.
