Yeah Hawkins really didn't look good at all. With that said if the reds don't send Votto on the 3-2 pitch its a double play and probably an easy inning for him.

How about Jeff Keppinger? I can't imagine it would take all that much to get him and he would be a nice improvement over Yuni.

Mark A at the game tonight...........must be frustrating to own a team that is going through a long stretch of bad baseball....especially in a "go for it season"...... Lets hope they start to turn it around tomorrow.

The starting pitching has been average and was supposed to be one of the top 3 or 4 staffs in(behind philly and SF). In the last 8 games they have been horrible. The Brewers are about to lose their 6th series out of the last 7 and the starting pitchbing has been as big of a problem as anything else.

And this was supposed to be the strength of the team? Haudricourt Assuming #Brewers don't rally (hold laughter), they will be 1-7 over last 8 games with starting pitchers going 0-5 with 8.24 ERA.

IIRC Melvin said he asked for Yuni in the deal because we needed a shortstop.....................The Cards have turned a 3 game defecit into a 2 game lead in about a week without Pujols. They better settle the NFL lockout soon. Brewer fans deserve better then this. They are supporting this team like it is in a big market. I fear we are going to see Turnbowesque booing if they don't turn this thing around quickly.
