Rickie had a great attitude and was considered a future cornerstone player for us and he got sent down when he was struggling a few years ago. If we were 10 games out and had no chance to win the division I could understand sticking with him but this is the year to win the darn thing. We just depend so much on Prince and Braun. Rickie is great but he is streaky.
yeah yuni happened and he sucks...but that doesn't get Yo off the hook. Still should be able to get out of that inning without a run much less 3. Step up and make a pitch
Kind of off topic but Haudricourt says that the Brewers have made more outs on the bases then any other team in the major leagues(not including pickoffs or caught stealings). How is that super aggressive style working for you RR?
Its really like we are a triple A team compared to these guys. Its not like other teams never beat them. 1 out of 3 shouldn't be too much to ask for one of the best teams in the National League. On our way to 2-7 against the RS, Rays, and Yanks.
About to lose our 4th series in the last 5. Tough part of the schedule but the horrible play on the road is really disappointing. Lack of clutch hitting, bad defense(not tonight) making lots of outs on the bases and poor pitching pretty much says it all.
Rock and BA said on TV tonight that he admitted to being very "stressed" when playing 3rd base in the big leagues. He knows he isn't a major league caliber 3rd baseman. I thiink that option is gone.
Cliff Lee just shut out the Red Sox. Thats 3 in a row...... jaysonst OK, let's get this out of the way now. Nobody has thrown 4 straight shutouts since Hershiser ran off 5 in '88. Lee is 6th w/ 3 in row since
This is comical. 2 wild pitches, a hit by pitch, 7 walks(last one because a pitcher went to his mouth on the rubber), 4 stolen bases allowed, 2 runners thrown out on the bases. and its only the 6th inning......
Kind of an interesting tweet on Greinke. BobKlap Always have to wonder about Greinke's anxiety level in Yankee Stadium: he now has a career 11.29 ERA in the Bronx
The twins lost 15-0 last night to the Dodgers...... its one thing to lose its another to play bad baseball....and we have played bad baseball for the last 2 weeks. Count the errors in this game alone. CM not knowing who was running. Gamel not tagging and then getting thrown out at 2nd. Estrada not even looking at Granderson and allowing him to steal a base uncontested. Wild pitches. Not enough pateince at the plate. Pulling Greinke after 2 innings and burning through the BP. Its a managers job to have his team ready to play against good teams as well as bad ones. I'm sure your right and he won't do it but continuing this kind of play on the road is just not acceptable. Gimme a break. They just swept the Twins and this is the 4th inning of a 7-2 game. Time to light a fire? After a 30-15 record since May 9th, going from 4.5 back to being in first place by THREE GAMES and you want to press the panic button after 3.5 innings of a poor outing??? I really don't know what to say.
