  1. You just got to love this....well done Brewer fans! http://twitter.com/dannyv...status/87356369505763329
  2. Glad to be wrong. I didn't see this one coming......did anybody? lol Great great win.... Braun has a calf strain AdamMcCalvy #Brewers say Braun left the game with a left calf strain. Mmm hmm.
  3. Anybody have a probablities graph for the game when were down 7-0? Biggest win of the year IMO
  4. Major league manager logic......."he's the closer...thats his job"
  5. I swear there have been studies done about how good guys hit on theirt birthdays.......lol...its almost too funny right now.
  6. Since we are all searching for positives right now I will say that was a nice efficent inning by Saito. On the bad side I wonder why Braun was taken out?
  7. Gamel can't catch a break. He hit a bullet ground ball DP his first time up and then crushes that one into death valley for an out. Thats an HR at MP.
  8. Are we sure that Melvin even knows what WAR is? He seems to be the epitome of the old school GM.
  9. Isn't there some stat about how much better most guys seem to hit on their birthdays? lol Braun should never bunt unless nobody is on the left side of the infield.....
  10. That would have been so typical for him to be out there......lol
  11. yeah now its whatever can go wrong will. Betancourts lack of range costs us another hit and then they bloop one to center and now a rocket to left. We really need a pitcher to step up and throw a gem but none of these guys are up to the task on the road.
  12. So I guess we can't use the "its the Yankees" or" its the Red Sox" excuse anymore? They just seem so mentally fragile on the road. Starters give up runs early and the hitters just kind of go through the motions. I was chastised the other night for suggesting that RR close the doors for a little post game meeting. I'm not suggesting that he needs to read them the riot act but something needs to be said to at least try and get them to relax and start playing decent baseball again. If RR doesn't have it in him then they need one of the players to step up because this team just looks shellshocked right now.
  13. Looks like Casey is going to get a couple of days off per McCalvey. If that doesn't help I don't think they have a choice but to make a change.
  14. No move tonight. I assume that means Kotsay is staying since they would save 100k if they let him go tonight? http://twitter.com/AdamMc...status/87025729522515968
  15. So as long as the team shows up and plays 9 innings your pretty happy about things then? Do you think this team is living up to their own expectations right now? If you don't think the players and the owner have the same expectations for this team as the fans on this board your kidding yourself. They expect this team to win and win big. Spoken like a true small market fan with low expectations... I have realistic expectations. I don't expect every player to be an all-star. I don't expect management to make quick decisions by they never do. I don't expect every pitcher to throw 7 innings of two hit ball. I realize that every player, even the best of them, has flaws. I try to remember there are 162 games left in the season. When I say I long for the days of 2005 that is in regards to this forum's posters not so much in terms of production I would like to see on the field. And yes Bucksman I do have low expectations, but they are of the constant whining from posters much like yourself who litters these forums day after day with negative posts. Unfortunately even with those low expectations, as a forum we are still not meeting those.
  16. Maybe we have higher expectations because Melvin traded our farm system for 2 top of the rotation pitchers and decided to keep Fielder to "go for it this year"? This team has the worst record in the national league on the road. They are about to fall a game behind a cardinal team that has been decimated by injuries. I mean if we can't expect an outstanding year once in awhile then whats the point of being fan?
