    The Indians took a guy named Bieber in the 4th. Whatever happens with this draft class for the Indians, it will now be known as their Bieber Draft.

    Bah, just means he's pitching inside. Seems like a Derek Johnson pick.

    Krook just went to the Giants in the 4th. I'm ok with that... the Brewers have not demonstrated a strong ability to fix pitchers like that, so I was a little dubious of taking him.

    Funkhouser just went to Detroit. My enthusiasm for this draft has been curbed.

    There is enough of a mixed opinion as to whether or not Ray will be able to stick in center that I don't agree with the idea that he absolutely won't be able to play there long term. And from a practicality standpoint, Maverick Phillips is a stud defender and will make it to MLB as a center fielder on his glove alone. So even if Ray doesn't stick in center, that doesn't seem to be a huge organizational foible at the moment.

    Rizzo was taken in the second by the Mariners. Mendoza seems like a good option. Jesus Luzardo had Tommy John recently but might be the best HS LHP on the board. The Brewers have been connected with another prep lefty, Walker Robbins. Funkhouser would be an interesting pick.

    I'm hoping they take Buddy Reed with their next pick just to really cheese people off after the Ray pick. Actually, I like Carter Kieboom in the second round if he's available. Edit: Or the Nats just took him.

    The "eighth in OBP" is terribly misleading. 3 of those players had under 110 ABs and Ray had 100 more ABs than two of the others. And yes, he's a better prospect than any of them.

    And if Attanasio wanted a rover, they'd draft a rover. However, the bulk of the decision usually lies with the scouting director.

    Ray is a better prospect than at least three of those guys.
