  1. Cain definitely, and most likely Aguilar and Periard. Otherwise, I don't see anyone who would be a real asset to a major league team unless someone has a favorable scouting report on the ability of Welch or Miller to get out big league lefties.
  2. As long as Nelson stays on the 40-man roster, he's not a free agent. If he were to be DFA'd, then IIRC he would be free to go.
  3. You can't believe hats are manufactured?
  4. Except for speed, you've just described Taylor Green. Plus Green is better defensively. I'll take that over a little extra speed. And it's not like Taylor Green is slow, either.
  5. No, this is preemptive mini donut smell discharge. They don't even sell mini donuts.
  6. That's because it's not. Although there isn't much difference between the talent level in the Southern League and the PCL. Was that a joke? Oof. Brantley could well begin the year at AA if the Indians think he needs to work on power some more. Green will start at AA, and might see AAA. Brantley will likely see AAA. It'll both be their 22 year old season. AA/AAA. QED.
  7. Green is 6 months older and they'll probably both be in AA/AAA next year. They're both 21 at the moment. I agree, it's hard to get excited about the difference in age/level.
  8. Repetition does not make it true. Green has a career .380 OBP despite being injured his first year (resulting in a .328 OBP), and he walks once every 7.3 ABs. Brantley has a career .399 OBP, and he walks every 7.0 ABs. Virtually all of the difference is batting average, and since Green has much more power, I'm more convinced he can keep up his BA. It sucks to lose Brantley, but I'm glad it was him and not Green. Relatively speaking, of course.
  9. Discussion of the Brantley aspect of the trade is here on the minor league forum.
  10. What if CC agrees to donate 20% of his salary to Mark Attanasio?
  11. A lawn chair, a 40, and at least 6 canisters of pepper spray.
  12. I'm 95% sure that the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul pumps in mini-donut smell to mask the smell of pot smoked during concerts.
  13. I hope the Cubs lose in 5 games and burn through the Dodgers' pitching staff.
  14. I don't think it's that funny, but I also don't think it was mean spirited. Maybe we could contract out the San Diego Chicken to bump off the Phanatic? The best form of revenge would be winning.
  15. Is the Brewers offered him arby, they'd have to offer him at least 80% of his current salary of $3.75 mil, which is $3 mil. They're not going to do that unless he recovers at a magical rate of speed. If they retain him, it'll be probably be on a minor league deal after a non-tender.
  16. There are numerous examples of guys who have had good seasons with extremely low ISOs and high OBPs, but very few examples of guys who have made good careers with extremely low ISOs and high OBPs.
  17. What color are those supposed to be posted in? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Plaid.
  18. I too am looking for a parking pass. I'll pay whatever (well not whatever) for it. If anyone could help me, that would be awesome. I'm coming in from out of town, so I can't just go to the ticket window.
  19. AL Central Playoff White Sox over Twins ALDS Rays over White Sox Angels over Red Sox NLDS Brewers over Phillies Dodgers over Cubs ALCS Rays over Angels NLCS Brewers over Dodgers World Series In one of the most exciting and lowest rated World Series in history... Brewers over Rays
  20. Yes, Adam McCalvy is a good source for that kind of information. I like it when people cite their sources.
  21. That's a good song and a much better reference, but if the Twins make the playoffs, it's much more arguably their song.
  22. Tell him how much you want him here. CC Sabathia One Brewers Way Milwaukee, WI 53214
