  2. No, it's not. The MLB average OBP is .333. The MLB average second baseman has a .336 OBP.
  3. The Brewers are 2-0 since I shaved my 'stache.
  4. As far as the Milwaukee area, I've gone out of my way to get other places in Wisconsin by going to Kopp's first. I once took a detour through Milwaukee from St. Paul to Phoenix to go to Kopp's and visit Brian. Mader's was a place my family went to a lot when we went down to Milwaukee (we were from Oshkosh). Pretty solid German food. As for Oshkosh, I have two shout-outs. First, Doctor Benzie's Pizza. I went there about once a week from 10-12 years of age, and every time I go back to visit my dad. Really solid pizza, they pack the toppings on huge, almost like a deep dish without the sides sometimes. Great, friendly staff. Second, Two Brothers Restaurant just off of 41 on Highway 21. Run by Greek immigrants, it has nothing but 50 different awesome greasy spoon menu items. Their gyro omlette is to die for. They moved to the building across the street recently (it used to be a Big Boy), but I assume the greasy awesomeness is still the same.
  5. This is kind of fascinating. This guy has apparently figured out the mysterious and outdated Elias Rankings for potential free agents. Take a gander. The free agents to be are in bold, the free agents with options are in bold and italics. Sheets and Sabathia are both Type A. Cameron is a Type B. The Brewers would have to decline his option, offer him arby, have him decline arby, and then sign with another team to garner a pick. Ray Durham is not a Type B. This doesn't list relievers yet.

  8. That was actually J.R. Radcliffe who wrote the article, he's an occasional Brewerfan poster and graduate of Valparaiso (with a buddy of mine). This mysterious Maryvale rehab thing has me convinced he's going to be back.
  9. If Sheets somehow wins his last 4 and Webb doesn't win another game, Sheets might be the Cy Young. Granted the likelihood of that happening is akin to the Astros making the playoffs, but it's nice to think about anyway (in a Randy Wolf kind of way).

  12. I'd only DFA him to make him more Ned-proof. If we make the playoffs and Ned brings Gagne in to a tight game, I'm going to throw heavy things across the room.

  15. I just got home, saw the score, and was shocked CC gave up 2 runs to the Padres. Turns out... WHY IS GAGNE STILL ON THE TEAM?
  16. If Lou isn't claimed, he's still Brewers property. No need to say goodbye yet.
  17. Vote for Blyleven, just to get him in the HoF.
  18. I look at it the other way around... shouldn't we be offering Fielder and some other things for Lincecum? Fielder has a ton of value, I think more than Cain and a prospect would represent. If I'm trading Fielder this offseason (which I don't think I would, given his power outage), I'd offer Fielder and Hart for Lincecum, Winn, and a pitching prospect or Brian Wilson.

  20. No, it was an offhand comment. I started thinking about it after I realized he wasn't called up.
  21. BK, you might want to resist checking your email during Brad Nelson ABs. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  22. The results are being tabulated and the winner will be contacted in the next few days.
  23. It will be up tonight, but probably not until very late tonight.
