  1. Your 2008 Milwaukee Brewers, sponsored by Prilosec OTC.
  2. "What upset Ned was that after he threw his warm-up tosses, he was in a groove, he didn't want there to be a stoppage." So naturally, the thing to do is drag it on even longer.
  3. Riske has a hyper-extended elbow. Ow.
  4. Bring in Gagne... I'm going to the game tomorrow and don't want to see him.
  5. Yah, I can't say sticking with Parra going into the 7th was a bad call. Slightly overworked bullpen, Parra pitching well, not great bench options.
  6. Obviously Yost should have had a premonition about Fielder's error and the ball popping out of Braun's glove.
  7. Fiddlesticks. Why has the defense disappeared?
  8. Outside of the second inning, the offense has done squat. Icky.
  9. Keep in mind that the moderators are fans too, and sometimes we'd rather enjoy the game than moderate the IGT.
  10. Even though he pitched for the Cubs, it's a shame to see a pitching talent like Prior go to waste for as long as he has.
  11. IMO, The Simpsons during their heyday were better than Family Guy has ever been. Family Guy has taken place for the most part during the long, slow decline of Matt Groening's family and has been the better show during that time. Family Guy has also taken a turn for the worse in recent years... there have been more esoteric jokes and abstract attempts at comedy in the past couple seasons that haven't really worked. I do like the Peter vs. Chicken fights.
  12. I would have rather seen Corey lead off, but it's just a lineup for one day. Does make you wonder if this is what Yost would go with if Weeks got hurt.
  13. Yes... let's keep all the Lincecum talk/proposals in the trade rumors forum and re-focus this discussion on the merits of Gamel and LaPorta. Prognosticating about the Brewers' long-term plan for them is fine, but this isn't really the place for discussing possible trade scenarios. Thanks.
  14. Nelson can play the corner outfield spots passably (as end mentioned, who *can't* play left field?), and he actually has a pretty good arm. I wouldn't want him to play third base any more than I'd want Jeff Cirillo to step in right now and be the Brewers' starting shortstop. If he has a major league career of any length he might see a little sporadic time there however.
  15. We do what we do here and we do it well (most people would say). If you're looking for something different, more "fun" or whatever, the interwebs are a vast expanse.
  16. He could go there for 4 years. Or 5 years. Or he could transfer.
  17. This was much earlier in Thomas' career, when he was a shortstop. They called him "The Relatively Average Sized Hurt." Oh! THAT Frank Thomas...
  18. They may not have a place in the major league forum, but they are minor league players, so why can't they be talked about in the minor league forum? Isn't that sort of what the minor league forum is for? Or are we just allowed to talk about Brewers' minor leaguers? Should we delete any reference to players outside of the current Brewers' minor league system? I cheered for all three of those guys, will continue to do so, and enjoy the updates I get.
  19. Ferguson has gotten a whole lot better in the past year or two, IMO. His show was brutal when it began, but they've really picked it up. The little I watch of late night talk shows, I almost always watch Ferguson over O'Brien now.
  20. Gagne truly wants to be the closer again - 3-inning save!
