  1. Why do you say that? Do you have inside information the rest of us don't?
  2. They have about equal stuff... Pena's in AAA, Aguilar isn't. So for the moment I'd take Pena.
  3. Way to turn the IGT into a discussion on economic policy, Russ. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  4. What I don't get is that Gagne is throwing the ball well (or... decently anyway) - fastball in the low-middle 90's, good changeup. He's just getting torched more often than not.
  5. Eat your heart out, Jeffrey Hammonds.
  6. I'm sure glad Parra is closing in on 120 pitches. That's perfect for a guy with arm injuries in his not so distant past. Let's go for 130 next time.
  7. Al, you realize you're attempting to make some sort of point in a thread entitled "Random thoughts that are pointless and too dumb to say anywhere else thread"?
  8. I would guess most people do, yes. You may not, but don't try to project your attitude on everyone else.
  9. To answer your question, .239 vs RHP, .249 vs LHP. If you click on the links bjkrautk provided for OPS, you'll see the result on the bottom. Baseball stats are fairly easy to get to on the internet - try clicking around on ESPN and Baseball Reference and see what all you can get.
  10. Dueling "unnamed sources." what a great moment for local "journalism"
  11. Earlier in the season, Ryan was swinging at crap and his production was crap. Now, he's laying off stuff out of the strike zone and punishing mistakes. I love walks as much as the next guy, but when you're seeing the ball well, you may as well hit it if you have the natural power that Braun does. I think he'll be able to take walks eventually as he gets some help, but when you're one of only a couple guys in the lineup performing, you have to capitalize. That isn't an excuse for his relatively poor OBP, but when someone else starts approaching a 900 OPS it'll be a better case for an argument. I think he'll be just fine at the plate.
  12. Frank Kremblas has an affinity for small-ball style offense, though I think he'd be a better motivator than Yost. I'm not sold an Simmons as a manager.
  13. Even if the Brewers only win 72 games for whatever reason, attendance in 2009 wouldn't drop much below 2 million, if at all below.
  14. True, though I have a tough time arguing with the production of a guy with a 912 OPS and decent defense.
  15. I think I might buy a Braun jersey because of this.
  16. You just posted that. You just posted that.
  17. There's no need to try to circumvent the cuss filter for a word we allow. If you had done this for a word we don't allow, you would have been notified via PM by a moderator.
  18. Before you start a thread, please take a minute a make sure it would not be more appropriate somewhere else. This fairly obviously should have been posted in the vent thread. There is no merit badge for starting threads. So if you find yourself starting a lot of new threads, chances are you're starting too many.
  19. DiFelice has been warming up since like the 5th inning.
