  1. I got a free Roland JX-1 synth/midi controller today w/ a road case. Woot.
  2. They might well put the cash forward to resigning him, and you can't alienate the fanbase. That's where you get revenue from. However, I tend to think his price tag will cross the line of where a realistic return on investment would take place. And that's what Mark Attanasio believes in.
  3. Gamel has an outside chance at breaking the Brewers' all-time minor league record for hits in a season, currently held by Lavell Freeman of the '87 El Paso club (208). Even sniffing 200 hits in the minor leagues is a rare accomplishment.
  4. I'll put it this way... if it's mid-July, the Brewers feel they are out of it, and reasonable contract extension talks with Sheets don't stand a probable chance of being fruitful, they aren't going to wait around and hope they get a few draft picks for him. IMO anyway.
  5. I left home at about 5:15 to go to the post office and it was 84 degrees. I get back home at 6:00 at it is 59 degrees.
  6. D.L. Hughley is 45 years old. I had him pegged as at least 10 years younger.
  7. He's thrown a couple sliders, IIRC. It's not a great pitch, and his velocity would drop a little back if they made him a starter again. I'd rather just leave him where he's at for the time being. Even in his second inning of today's game, he was starting to elevate the ball.
  8. Today's game was his first at 1B this year, and fourth career game. He's a natural second baseman, but an adequate defender at third base.
  9. Branyan fights bad head colds even when he doesn't have them.
  10. I'll submit "Musclehill" for a platoon nickname.
  11. Taylor Green (playing first base) with his 4th home run of the year, and his 3rd in the past 4-5 games, IIRC.
  12. I kind of hope he strikes out in his first AB back, but they give him credit for a HR anyway. Because he's that good. I've heard he also can drive himself in after walking.
  13. Branyan's current 3TO% = 52.5. OOOOOOOOOOO.
  14. The home run is the ultimate base hit. If you need to ask why, ask Russ Branyan.
  15. That is the face of a man that will bring us championships. That is the face of a man.
  16. The move that was so obvious, even this team had to make it.
  17. The kitten is safe. For now. And I'm a vegan... man this team makes me angry.
  18. The more excited Torres gets, the more he falls off towards the side. If he struck someone out to win the World Series, he'd end up in the parking lot.
  19. If we lose this game because of Bill Hall, I'm going to go punch a kitten.
  20. Paul Lo Duca on Guillermo Mota: "He almost throws too many strikes."
  21. Infield hit for Hardy. McClung goes 5 and looks sharp. Mota doesn't walk anyone. Hardy scores from 1st on a double to left. A clean game defensively. What's going on here?
  22. McDung McTurd McCrappypants McWalksalot McAce?
  23. Have to give credit to McClung... 18 pitches after 2 innings.
