  1. JS Blog Link. We're jinxed! But it's only like a third of a jinx - he's sharing the cover with Troy Tulowitski and Justin Upton. In all seriousness, congrats to Ryan on the honor.
  2. I'm just waiting for brewers.com to put up the new player photos on the profiles. Guillermo Mota is getting a raw deal with his un-photoshopped Mets cap still affixed to his noggin.
  3. This person was far, far, far, far more known for something other than music. Here's two hints: Hint #1: His last name has a "percussive" association. Hint #2: He was definitely alive during the Civil War.
  4. Paul Robeson would have been a teenager when this man passed away.
  5. Was it because of random bolding?
  6. Alas, this man is not related to this guy: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/172/421804827_e7233f7492.jpg (Tho that guy is pretty good!)
  7. Floyd Sepultura Clarence Biohazard Neither Max nor Cavalera are part of this man's name.
  8. This person was not a doctor and to the best of my knowledge, has never had a song of his covered by Eric Clapton or Elvis. He was a musician, but that's not what he was known for. You might say he has a musical name.
  9. This person was not known for his peanuts.
  10. http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/c2a2598477901d0294227d70c801baa98562ba9.jpg Who was I?
  11. So what you're saying is they abandoned their "grass" roots?
  12. After seeing Aaron, my initial reaction was thinking back to the casket at the funeral home during the final episode of last season.
  13. "High 10? No? Too much?"
  14. Rickie has always been thick through the core. He may look a tad overweight, but it also may just be muscle. The guy that worries me is the guy in the too-skinny shirt (the one directly to the left of Luismar Pena or four heads to the left of Cappy).
  15. Ryan's mid-lower body is huge. Good night.
  16. I will upgrade that and say I think the Brewers have a legit shot at scoring 900+ runs this year. Hence, the pitching will be key. This offense will become unstoppable at times if everyone stays healthy.
  17. This was my thought exactly. Go veg, buy Fielder!
  18. http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20080221/capt.1dee2f8a0e1a4883afe9b04f5fed6bdd.brewers_spring_baseball_azmg110.jpg I died a little inside due to laughing after looking at this.
  19. Awesome! Agreed, one of my favorites. Most of my favorite song lyrics are by Elliott Smith and most can't be posted here due to content. Here's one that can, "Between The Bars": Drink up baby, stay up all night With the things you could do You won't but you might The potential you'll be that you'll never see The promises you'll only make Drink up with me now And forget all about the pressure of days Do what I say and I'll make you okay And drive them away The images stuck in your head The people you've been before That you don't want around anymore That push and shove and won't bend to your will I'll keep them still Drink up baby, look at the stars I'll kiss you again between the bars Where I'm seeing you there with your hands in the air Waiting to finally be caught Drink up one more time and I'll make you mine Keep you apart, deep in my heart Separate from the rest, where I like you the best And keep the things you forgot The people you've been before That you don't want around anymore That push and shove and won't bend to your will I'll keep them still Outside of Elliott, here's another... Grateful Dead's "Ripple": If my words did glow with the gold of sunshineAnd my tunes were played on the harp unstrung, Would you hear my voice come thru the music, Would you hold it near as it were your own? It's a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken, Perhaps they're better left unsung. I don't know, don't really care Let there be songs to fill the air. Ripple in still water, When there is no pebble tossed, Nor wind to blow. Reach out your hand if your cup be empty, If your cup is full may it be again, Let it be known there is a fountain, That was not made by the hands of men. There is a road, no simple highway, Between the dawn and the dark of night, And if you go no one may follow, That path is for your steps alone. Ripple in still water, When there is no pebble tossed, Nor wind to blow. You who choose to lead must follow, But if you fall you fall alone, If you should stand then who's to guide you? If I knew the way I would take you home. La dee da da da, La da da da da, Da da da, Da da, Da da da da da La da da da, La da da, Da da, La da da da, La da, Da da. [/pre]
  20. I'm going to bury my head in the sand on this one as a fan. I don't want to know how much Prince is going to cost until after the season. I'm just happy he's here for the moment.
  21. Coming out of Petco, even some regression will still result in better output.
  22. Hardy will draw more walks over the long term. He* got all out of whack last season at the plate... it won't happen as often now, especially since he'll be batting very low in the order. He'll be closer to his 2005 walk ratios in 2008, IMO. I have trust that he's a smart ballplayer.
