  1. Following the Brewers is like watching a baby being born. Better later on, disgusting now.
  2. I have a horrible feeling about this series.
  3. I have a good feeling about this series. LETS GO GET EM, DOODS!
  4. Not a chance this year. I'd place the odds on the record at 3:2, though. If the Brewers go to the playoffs and/or have a good buzz going into next year, and perform well early in the year, I think 3 mil could be attainable without a ton of work. It really is great to see The Keg filled up every night.
  5. The Brewers always seem to keep 1 more pitcher than you'd think they would. If they go with 10, I suspect Gwynn would be a lock. I really have a suspicion they'll bring up Rottino at some point soon so they can have a third catcher on the roster, allowing Estrada to pinch hit.
  6. I think it is insane to go with 12 pitchers in the first round of the playoffs. You go with 11, and if you win and have an injury, you replace. I might swap out Gallardo with Parra because it seems like they are committed to keeping him in the rotation until he doesn't have any innings left. That could turn out to be a wise move, if only because you need to get to the playoffs first. Rottino might be a possibility over Dillon, as could TGJ. And that bench looks pretty good.
  7. Here are my top 5: 1. Manny Parra 2. Matt LaPorta 3. Jeremy Jeffress 4. Angel Salome 5. Brent Brewer Edit: Heck, here's the rest of my top 10: 6. Caleb Gindl 7. Mat Gamel 8. Darren Ford 9. Lorenzo Cain 10. Jonathan Lucroy
  8. You just gave me an awesome idea! Keep up the good work with the pix, EDR. I enjoy your work.
  9. Man, the Brewers are sure in a... http://travelingtreefrog.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/12/fog.jpg
  10. Steve Bray. I really like the picture of TGJ, as well as the one of the "cool guy" further down. That guy is sweet on so many levels that his buddies must call him sugar.
  11. Manny Acta = manager of the century. I can't believe that team even has a shot at winning 75 games this year.

  13. I'd guess Cirillo would be pretty close to as good or better than Dillon for the rest of the year. I would love to see him in a Brewers uni again, and I think they could have fit him on the roster. Oh well.
  14. I think I'm in love if the early comparisons to Brian Giles are accurate. Remains to be seen what he'll do on his way to the bigs, but obviously the results so far are compelling. IMO, his first true test will come when he goes through a cold streak at the plate and needs to rely more on plate discipline to get on base. The one thing being masked by his torrid start at the plate in that he isn't walking at a good pace. With that said, if you're hitting .460, why would you want to take a walk?
  15. Manny Parra is really good.
  16. What's disturbing is that Saget is actually Doug Melvin. Dillon isn't a world-beater, but he'll fill his role on the team. The Brewers might even be able to catch a little lightning in a bottle with the guy.
  17. I finally got one right! All those years of staring at the cover of Learning Curve pay off.
  18. Pretty sure it isn't, but I'll guess anyway... Charissa Saverlo.
  19. Just realized that this will be a nice early b-day present for Dillon - he's turning 32 on Thursday.
  20. My initial thought was that Dillon would start at 2B tomorrow for sure versus the lefty, but he's actually been hitting RHP better in AAA. Graffy should still be in there, unless they just really want to see what Joe has for a few days. Dessens in the pen will allow Bush to stick in the rotation on Thursday or Friday.
  21. Either Bush will go on Thrusday/Friday, or they'll flip-flop him in pen with Parra for a rotation, and let Parra start on normal rest this Thursday - Bush would be available in the pen tomorrow and Thursday also.
  22. Funny that one of the excuses for tonight's thread lock was that "the mods needed a night off". I'd say they were busier tonight than in any game all year. Actually, that's not funny, that's disturbing. It was pretty disappointing people couldn't follow the rules for an evening.

  24. Remember this site before the advent of the IGT? How did we live?
  25. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. They're killing me. Who is?
