John Alonso HR # 4... Alonso was actually just a single short of hitting for the cycle.

I agree that this is a good move for Dennis' career with Milwaukee. I've always kind of thought he had the chance to be a dominant guy out of the pen, and I hope it turns out to be the case. As mentioned earlier, this will give him a much better shot at getting to Milwaukee by the end of the year. Even just a dozen very good outings could earn him a ticket. Good luck, Dennis!

Is Wright finally about to blow up? If you don't walk three or four times in 5-6 innings against Jaime, you just aren't trying.
  4. And That
Hall waked, Rivera with the jack. Rivera owns. I just wish Melvin/Yost would have realized this earlier.

It looks to me like the Brewers are legit pissed? (As well they should after their last few series.) This is their last chance to turn this season into playoff spot contention. They better do it.

Good jobs by Fielder and Gross. I'll take two runs from a runner on second-and-third w/no out situation 99 times out of 100.

And the Brewers releasing Eli Alfonzo 3 years ago finally pays dividends.

Walk-off salami ends the Power game (and not for the good guys) in the 16th.

Mike Rivera still in - good!

Steve Bray may well yet be called up this year. He's been amazing since day 1 in AA.

And I really enjoy anything Dave Fridmann touches, and I started at the Woods, so everything might be a disapointment as I go backwards. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I tend to agree with you, tho - usually the rawer stuff is better. I just happened to jump on the ship late.

Hey EDR, I bought One Beat today - liked it a lot better than Dig Me Out, but not as much as The Woods.
  13. And That
C'mon Geoff, start your second half surge.
  14. And That
Words can only describe how much I hope Mike Rivera isn't hurt.
  15. And That
An error on Fielder for "fielding." That's thick irony.
  16. And That
And queue RBI hit for an opposing pitcher... Edit: Gosh, I'm good. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

Don't look at the Baby Brewers' box score if you get nausiated by walks and errors. The Baby Giants scored in every inning (21 times in all), thanks to 12 walks and 7 errors (not to mention 20 hits and 2 HBP). 41 baserunners in 9 innings. Geesh.

But isn't the AA roster limit 23? 12 position players and 11 pitchers. That hasn't stopped them in the past. Many a Huntsville team has gone with only 2 (3 on a non-DH day) bench players.

By my count, the Stars actually need 2 pitchers now. They're down to 10, and the organization has usually kept 12 with the affiliates. I'd like to see Lewis and Alliston promoted, tho Parra might be ready for a promotion, too. That would allow Miller and Renkert to be promoted from West Virginia, and then everything would be groovy.

  23. And That
From the Reds' message board: I hate our bullpen and Milwaukee. Yah! Eat the cheese sandwiches!
