  1. Uh, believe me when I say you may wish to switch over to this audio after checking the current box score -- that is all... I listen to one batter... Edit: And then I listened to the second batter, and now I'm done. Nice perfect game through 7 for Carlos V.

  3. Mike Bell and Lorenzo Cain both with 4 hits tonight... and the game is in the 6th inning. Good pitching all around tonight, too.

  5. In order, I was: -Suprised -Shocked -Confused -Appalled Well done!
  6. Bow to my power! (I just wanted to see what it looked like for a sig.)
  7. 1...2...3..
  8. Cirillo tagged 1st base on the grounder with the bases loaded ... okay, but don't the runners all have to still run on that play thereby making the play at home a force play? Why does making the throw to home after tagging first make the play at home a tag play as opposed to what would be a force play at home had Cirillo not tagged first base. The runner on 3rd had to run, regardless, didn't he? No, once there is a force, the baserunners are free to run wherever ahead of the force. By "forcing" the runner at first, Cirillo made everyone else a live runner. Think of it as if two runners were standing at a base in a rundown - they both can't be out, so one can be safe. That makes all the bases eligible for a "safe" call to be made on runners.
  9. There must be something in the water up there. Sven and Ole refused to drive in the right lane of the interstate and just use the left lane for passing. Minnesota drivers are infamous for this. When I go up to visit my mom in northern MN, it's like doing the bob and weave getting up the interstate and state highways there.
  10. I am now under the opinion this franchise is cursed.
  11. I really hope Manzanillo makes the big leagues someday just so his 2006 walk stat can be thrown out there to a national audience. They stuck with him the whole year, so there must be more to him than meets his 27ish BB/9 rate.

  13. I can't help but think next year Inman is going to have about a 2.20 ERA, and we're all going to be so let down. Kid is amazing.
  14. Will Inman with a ho-hum start to the game - striking out the side to open the game is just so passe.
  15. I basically just hate consumer 'Merica. 95% of Americans are dumb consumers, at least from my experience. I've been an assistant manager at a movie theater while going to school for the past few years, and the amazing idiocy I hear on a daily basis is amazing. I don't care if you're a soccer mom, you are not as stupid as to ask what the prices are for concessions when they are below you, above you and slightly less above you.
  16. The Stars are everything the Brewers wish they could be.
  17. I agree with Kat and Patrick - Cain seems like a likely jump to AA. All it may take is a good spring. And sticking Brantley back in WV is not a message you want to send to your players - Brantley has earned and exceeded a promotion to High Class-A next year (wherever that is). Keep Brantley in WV and you tell guys that if you're young, you may not get promoted whatever you do.
  18. Yovani Gallardo and a Helena Brewer grace this week's Baseball America Prospect Hot Sheet: Yah, Yo Gallardo is pretty good.
  19. Yah, I liked the way it was done last year (even though I didn't win the one I wanted). Could you guys edit the auction titles to include the sizes?
  20. Sam Narron was your Brevard starter tonight. He went 4 innings, throwing scoreless ball. Rob Hinton on in relief, also scoreless through 2 innings of work. Zach Braddock is your Helena starter tonight.
  21. I just threw up in my mouth a little.
  22. Some thoughts: Joe Thatcher with a very productive AA debut. At this rate, he could be in Milwaukee by next year. Would be very nice to have a home-grown LOOGY. Brad Nelson, power surge or not, could/should be leading off for the Stars. His OBP is almost at .400. Brandon Parillo is a groundball machine. Between this year and last, he has like a 2.50 GB/FB ratio - that's crazy. He's a pretty small guy, too, so he must have some real good sink on his fastball and a nice slider or something of that ilk.
