  1. Hart hit a homer off someone taller than him. That's weird.
  2. You'll be happy to know Turnbow is up in the pen.
  3. Bunt, Mench, bunt. The time is now.
  4. I'm just going to go ahead and call the Clark GW HR here You mistyped - I think you meant Burnitz.
  5. Right now Yost is thinking: "I'm so smart. When this game goes 25 innings people will SEE why we're carrying 13 pitchers and SEE why I had a recently-injured pitcher pitch 2 innings. Hah!"
  6. Hall: Pitch 1 - In play, out(s) recorded Gross: Gabe Gross strikes out swinging. Nice. Way to work it, guys.
  7. We're carrying 13 pitchers, yet Cappellan goes out there for a second inning?
  8. Corey Thurman deserves some props, coming back from surgery and all. I hope we resign him - he could help the big league team at some point next year.
  9. Interesting stat of the night: Charlie Iacano of the Baby Brewers has 10 hits and 13 stolen bases.
  10. How about a Fielder bomb here in the 9th?
  11. And he just walked the pitcher... In the eighth inning.
  12. Jenkins just punk'd Miller. Not sure how I feel about that.
  13. C'mon, Damien. Give us anything here, instead of staying in your June-onward slump. Edit: http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/devil.gif
  14. Take a look at the current lineup's collective BA's. I'm obviously not saying that BA is anywhere close to a be-all end-all, but .279/.271/.283/.279/.267/.269/.273/.255/pitcher makes me think early-mid 90's Tigers.
  15. Santo Manzanillo watch: 13.2 IP, 34 BBs allowed. He's like the 3TO of pitching.
  16. Perhaps there's a player that isn't from the organization originally who they'd want to send. Which is why I'm guessing: Steve Bray Ryan Braun Manny Parra Dennis Sarfate Drew Anderson or Steve Hammond Joe Thatcher The Brewers need relievers, so it makes sense to send a number of them to the team. Bray and Sarfate could help next year, and Thatcher and Hammond shortley thereafter. Braun should be a lock. Gallardo has too many innings, Jones shouldn't be pushed. Parra could use the innings. Anderson might sneek in if other teams want pitchers too.
  17. Ryan Knox recently released by the Devil Rays' organization... Knox had a horrific year at the plate and may be done in pro ball. That said, he was a good guy to have in the organization for so long, and outplayed many more talented players. Of the group he was drafted with, I would have bet money either Will Ford or Steve Truitt would have lasted much longer, but Ryan proved to be a much better ballplayer. Good luck to you in all your future endeavors, Knoxy.
  18. As reported by the JS, 1B Ned Yost Quadruple has been promoted from WV to Brevard.
  19. As reported by the JS, 1B Ned Yost Quadruple has been promoted from WV to Brevard.
  20. Joe Thatcher *still* has no reason pitching below AA.
  21. Who was that relief pitcher that wore his hat real flat like that and often had rosin all over the thing? Jeff Bennett? Walking Hawpe may have helped. Gonzalez ain't much of a hitter.
  22. I am at a loss. My couch cushions have just met the wall. That is all.
  23. Yost actually using his bench? My word. Edit: For pete's sake, bunt. BUNT. BUNT, YOU JERK. GAH!
