I’m sorry but, yes, people complained about certain players like Ortiz because half of his game contribution work was missing (hitting). His defense is elite at least! But, when all you are expected to do is throw strikes as a pitcher, there is no other half to your game to say helps the team. It’s the same reason that our complaints about the low production DH like Yelich has been much of the second half is justified. He has no other game helping role. Sproat should be toast. Go Brewers!
-
Sproat is done. If he remains a pet project for Hook and his guys, I’ll be very surprised, and pissed.
-
Exactly.
-
I am assuming you mean DFA
-
Sproat? Post-season roster?
-
I was on Reddit, watched ReKap and other post-game Cubs shows. Watching humans melt down is certainly a sight to see… An apocalyptic warning to never be a Cubs fan or trust dudes named Counsell
-
Need to get a run here…when you get error gifts from Cubs thank you, Wild Bill
-
Garrett Mitchell will never be amazing unless that top zone swing and miss gets solved. Too easy to strike him out.
-
Have to swing at anything close with two strikes. I learned that in rec league ball.
-
I can’t seem to trust Senzatela. But he’s new. And I can’t seem to trust our bats to do us the right amount of good in the playoffs against even better pitching. That’s nothing new.
-
Thank you
-
DP pitch right here please
-
Scared of more hand damage? Obviously should’ve gone feet first all the way, and that also would make his hand less likely to get re-injured.
-
We need Vaughn, the home run hitter, back let’s go… ugh
-
Misiorowski is what my dad always called a “hurler”. Not a “pitcher” - because the Miz approach does not utilize enough speed changes, different spins, etc. If you see a hurler enough, you stick the bat out or swing early and you get hits. I’m surprised Hook hasn’t given Miz more craft…

Cubs (Boyd) vs Brewers (Gasser): 09/07/26, 1:10 PM

Such a big win and players we expect something from are performing. it’s time to fully sit Yelich until everything is clinched. my main concern is how some of our starting pitchers have become way too hittable. But, Ws keep coming…well done, Brewers! -
Rangers (Rocker) vs Brewers (May): 08/30/26, 1:10 PM

May is terrible. Ineffective pitches. Only did well as a pitcher against us…not for us. -
Fun times. But, need Cubs to lose to be sweet.
-
Yelich should be benched until the Cubs series August 31. Let Sanchez DH. so sick of Yelich and the code of silence that protects him…
-
So sick of Vaughn not challenging and Mitchell watching 3rd strikes
-
Does Richardson always look like a beach bum? Toothpick and shirt wide open?
-
Double play time or give up a homer time
-
Yes, he put a Dodgers logo on it.
-
Mitchell gets new life then watches a middle strike. He’s bamboozled at the plate right now…
-
Definitely hoping you’re right. Have to have the bats…
