  1. Rested A pen yesterday too…. I didn’t see this coming.
  2. Forget about anything else…. I thought we want to be playing good ball going into the playoffs. Yet we throw our absolutely worst pitchers to close games? And right, no pinch runner on first in tied game in 9th for catcher. Just play baseball like normal.
  3. I hate they are playing the 8th/9th like this…. probably Rowdy in 10th.
  4. No way…. Our injuries are playing a HUGE role in all this.
  5. That first TD….I got visions of Dez Bryant in the playoffs. That TD didn’t count. Why did this one? He tripped sorta and lunged and did not keep possession of the ball.
  6. Just don’t buy and sell to Cubs fans… ultimate betrayal.
  7. If you are arguing against the possibility of the team leaving, look no further than the fact that you are a Brewers fan and not a Milwaukee Braves fan. Abandonment and Relocation has happened RIGHT HERE before and it could again. Of course it could happen without receiving any govt money. Attanasio is out the door... or he would pass it on to his kids and they would turn the book to its next chapter in Nashville. Did the team use some scare tactics, parading the commissioner in and having front page sports stories in the Journal on how the team could be looking to leave? Yep. And it worked. But we are working between a rock and a hard place here. Pay up or risk the team moving. I say selfishly pay up and keep them here for another full generation, even longer than first reported. Also, the $600 million is a really big number long term, but breaking it down per year looks more reasonable or even expected, compared to building a brand new retractable stadium.
  8. Great for Brewers fans! Totally against rich owners getting richer and letting little guy pay and all, but Brewers leaving would be way worse for me selfishly…summer nights, trips to the game with family and friends. Really can’t be replaced in same way. No idea what I would do. Thinking little guy could win World Series, even maybe this year… surreal to be alive and a part of it. Brewers in Six!
  9. Twice had the opportunity of pinch hitting Turang in extras against lefties.
  10. Good win… especially with #5 pitcher and not using back end of bullpen.
  11. Rise and Fall? So unfair. More like he had one of the team’s best OPS/ OPS+ in 2022 and inexcusably gets no opportunity in 2023 while having better numbers than anyone in the organization. Fall? More like suppressed down, kept down, and squashed. Yet let’s pay him $2.2 million to play at AAA. And the DH position? Worst in baseball.
  12. Low bar…great year….and they paid him… and DH in NL… stubborn….mismanagement of DH position….move on… win division…positive vibes.
  13. He shouldn’t have been Game 1 starter in 2021… couldn’t go on 3 days rest…. Which limited Woody to one possible game in a 5 game series. He just had a great outing last week, though. He still is WC Game 1 starter for me. The better question is who doesn’t start in that three game series.
  14. Forget about the change, Devi….give ‘‘em the heater!
  15. Don’t waste your time then…what is it to you? The Hiura debate hasn’t stayed the same…. Just getting more and more absurd not to give him a shot as his numbers surge.
  16. .973 OPS in July .816 OPS in August and this is not this season…. or career minor league… It’s career MLB.
  17. Here, here! And his MLB OPS in 2022 is often forgotten. They give him regular at bats… and they definitely were not regular ( hit in every spot in order, had days off of 5 and 7 in September when others say he had a shot there, rarely had consecutive days batting at same position), he could hit 30+ HRs; OPS was .765, OPS+ 114…. They are nutso with him not getting a shot, and it is now getting to a point where they almost hope he stops hitting, crazy as that sounds.
  18. Mets are in a rebuild.., traded old vets and playing younger players. We are in a pennant race…..apples and dry plums
  19. So you are all in on whatever the Brewers decide to do with him… and hedging if he does well (“bat speed and TALENT”) and I told you so if he does poorly. Got it covered well.
  20. He’s the guy that yells certainly, “There is no truth!” and then never realizes he is making a truth statement.
  21. He is still in AAA. Glad you are adding to it.
  22. Bad AAA numbers often mean no call up… that is true at about every level. And vice versa, when hitting/pitching well, a call up is the norm. No one is guaranteeing great results. It’s just more than time to see what he can do. Love that you keep going to Voit as an example… he actually got an opportunity to play because of results. That would be nice for Hiura.
