  1. Not sure if something like this is happening in Milwaukee or not…
  2. She was great in one or a couple episodes of Cheers too.
  3. Picking up food for carry out.,,, bill is $28.65. Pay $30 in cash and say keep it. Waitress rolls her eyes and says yeah, thanks. I am not in habit of tipping for carry out…. There is no special extra service being provided. I drove, went in, went directly to them and paid enough and extra. Yet, is it better to ask/expect exact change than to give the extra, be it not much, to the restaurant?
  4. I think they are great……wouldn’t mind it as a permanent change though I know it won’t be. Agreed, 7 inning double headers are great. Wish they'd just schedule two a month or so for every team as a regular part of the schedule and give a few more days off during the season. It's one of the very few things MLB has done right in the Manfred era, so it won't last. Agreed… why go back? The guy at 2nd in the 10th too. Nobody wants to be there for 17 innings of baseball with work or another game the next day.
  5. You can sing “Amazing Grace” and the theme to Gilligan’s Island to each other’s tune.
  6. Craziest game ever? Watch Game 2.
  7. Others I’d like to visit OUTSIDE the state… Par King (Lincolnshire, IL) Red and Black Courses Rustic Mini Golf ( Indianapolis, IN) Can Can Wonderland (St. Paul, MN) Mt. Atlanticus (Myrtle Beach, SC)
  8. If we only play 500 ball the rest of the way, the Cardinals would need to go 36-15, or about .80 percentage points better than the best current team in baseball, just to tie us. Not concerned about St. Louis. They've dug too big of a hole. If they pass us, we had a total catastrophic collapse. And we play them 13 times…. Going let’s say 4-9 against them allows them to gain 5 games just there. I still think of 2011 when they were out of it… waaay out of it and just kept winning. Even in the WS, they were losing with no hope in Game 6. Just crazy how they came back.
  9. Also, unless we are up 6 or 7 games beginning last week of season, I’m sweating the road at Cards and Dodgers to finish the year.
  10. What’s frightening about these games is that throwing fill in starters with a depleted bullpen behind them really negates the advantage the Brewers would usually have against teams like the Cubs and Pirates. I don’t want to count on giving up 7 runs in the first inning and coming back to win. There’s nothing that can be done about it, but if the Brewers don’t win at least 4 or 5 of these 7 games it will feel like they are using more ground. First of all, our bullpen should start returning to full strength during the Cubs series. Another positive is that it’s normally not possible to give a guy 10 days of rest during August. I think the team will be stronger in Sept and Oct because of this. It’s frustrating we’ve lost 3 of 4 and probably could have won all 4, but so be it. Glass half full says all will be healthier and rested after COVID. Glass half empty says lingering effects can be part of the equation.
  11. I still worry about the Cardinals…. They have a pretty favorable schedule over the next 18 games (10 Pit!! KC, Det, Brew). Veteran group who has underperformed all year…. Still have veteran staff, solid lineup, Molina.
  12. What a series, though. Hopefully, we can pull this off yet. Close games, games hanging on every pitch it seems. We’ll feel rich when we add all these arms back.
  13. EVERY game that Dillard does, he talks strike zone changing in game. Please someone give him talking points…..
  14. Lindblom has been dealing at AAA His last starts… IP/ER June 5/1 July 5/1 5/1 6/1 6/1 6/2 Aug 7/1 My guess is that he is pitching in Chicago.
  15. If the Cardinals want to make their move, their next 19 games are the following….10 against Pirates (yep), 4 against Royals, 3 against Brewers (13 more over the rest of season!), and 2 against Tigers.
