    More like not getting even one more KEY out than three in any one game (and he was extra good at it winning the NL Relief Pitcher of the Year in 2018 AND 2019)..…. a few extra pitches. Yet throwing six outs and two bullpens in one random day in July, along with throwing a few games worth of pitching in the pen over the last two weeks, is yawn fine. I don’t get the logic. Scrap pitching him against the heart of the line up. Never an extra out in the 8th against a lefty. One more out. Even just pitching him an inning in the 8th against the heart of the order. Pitch him one inning in the 10th of one game with a guy at 2B as others have been crying for when the game is tied in the 9th. Just a very limited usage of him from a creative bullpen manager that calls pitchers out getters….,, CC’s hands appear to be tied. Funny thing is… I would have been fine not getting him up to pitch the second game with the Reds coming to town tomorrow.

I remember CC doing this often. In the spin, CC says Hader’s role is largely the same (so still closing games, but no multiple innings…and I mean none?) Hader says “multiple innings is a grind” and “closer role is a good fit because of other guys on the roster” (or between the lines says I’m working more, against the other team’s best, on a really unknown schedule….     Hader’s agent allows/requires this to get his save and arby $…… Source? So why, oh why, could he have gone two innings tonight is separate games? Yet, it seems….. he doesn’t or even CAN’T go an extra out in the 8th?

    If that turns out to be the case score another one for Stearns but I will believe it when I see it. I'd think you'd have seen enough scores for Stearns that you'd stop constantly doubting him. I think we’ve seen a lot of really good seasons with Stearns at the helm; three straight post seasons have been great and 2018 was super. That being said, there have been several questionable, repeat questionable, trades and pick ups. Now, I might give him a bit more or less leeway than another, but we’ve “seen enough scores” to at least question moves here while retain one’s overall approval of Stearns.

    So what you're saying is the Bucks are better with Giannis. Sure….. funny. Didn’t expect to lose by 11 and have plus numbers when 34 was on the floor. It usually isn’t this drastic. So double digit negative without Giannis for 13 minutes.

    The Reds were winning 6-1 entering the bottom of the 8th inning. They lost 7-6. Wow.

    I hear ya…. Free throws. Let’s say they make 70-75% instead of 96%, it’s a totally different game. Give the Bucks back another 7 to 9 points and who knows…. Booker and Paul were hitting late too along with their big guy. Phoenix had an A game. Bucks had a C game, and yet we were somewhat in it late….encouraging in a way.

    He won his golf match…. Clutch putting. I could see that it, or rather beating Tommy, was really important to him. Silly as it sounds, this might actually help the Packers. He maybe needed an edge on Brady in some small way to come back to the Packers and risk it again in the NFC. It’s either sit out and be a poor teammate, or come back with a great group and beat Tommy again. One more thing…. RIGHT after the match, on the green where 12 hit a roughly 12 foot put to win on the 16th, Brady said to 12 something like, “I hope that you aren’t THIS prepared for the season,” and 12 said something I couldn’t make out….. not sure if it was. Rewound it a bunch. Just looking for a clue to see if he is going to be back to start training camp.

    From Mets owner Steven Cohen on Twitter… Looks like weather delays but they are going to try and get the game in Weather looks great at 11 pm Looks like weather will improve between 8-9pm Reminder the times mentioned are referring to the Eastern Time Zone. Weather is great at 11:00? What? Even if this game starts at 9:00/9:30 (Eastern), that seems pretty crappy for the fan with tickets.     Could you elaborate on that? Melvin was all about power even when it came to sacrificing the ability to make contact while Stearns tends to go for the multi position middle infield type like Peterson. Gallo offers the positional versatility that Stearns likes but I don't see him as much of a fan of the extreme swing and miss even if that comes with a lot of walks with a guy like Gallo. Maybe I'm mistaken but Stearns passed on Gallo in the Lucroy deal in favor of Brinson and I see him passing on making an offer this time around. Stearns Brewers strike out a lot…. 3rd most in baseball this year 2nd most in 2020 5th in 2019 7th in 2018 1st in 2017 and 2016….. actually MLB record shattering each year.

    Does anyone have any advice/info about hotels on Mackinac Island in Michigan? It is especially pricey there…, looking around for some deals or specials.
