  1. With the 4 adds today, the Brewers still have 6 spots open going into the winter meetings.
  2. Hall for Robertson straight up sounds good to me. You are only taking on an additional $200,000 for the 2009 season and $1.6 million for 2010, but you also have a $500,000 buyout for 2011 for Hall that you would be getting rid of as well. I personally think Robertson could be a change of scenery kind of situation.
  3. Very nice work, but you have to edit the last trade involving Ray Durham Thanks for posting this!
  4. As Colby gave some position players, I figured I would give a quick rundown on a few pitchers I like. Ryan Wing: Lefty reliever. Oakland organization. Will be 27 this season. Really seemed to find his roll last season out of the bullpen. Only 2 HR's allowed in 54 innings at Sacramento of the PCL. Good arm to have in AAA. R.J. Swindel: Lefty reliever. Philadelphia organization. Cup of coffee with the Phils last season. Extreme soft tosser. Curve in the low 50's. Dominating #'s in the minors. K/BB ration of 5.6 to 1. Turns 26 in July, and he's a Canadian. Jesse English: Lefty starter. Giants organization. Hasn't pitched above A+ level. Upper 80's to low 90's fastball, plus change, curve. Was talked about early on as a better prospect than Matt Cain. Change is very effective on righties. Expected to fast track through the minors. Still only 24 years old. Seemed like he became more motivated once he became a father. Would love to see him get a shot to start in Huntsville. Jason Waddell: Lefty reliever. Giants organization. Seems to have stagnated at AA. Will be 28 in June. Upper 80's fastball, change, slider. LOOGY potential. Ferdin Tejeda: Righty reliever. Braves organization. Former shortstop that was converted to a pitcher in 2005 Live arm and good control. Definately would like to see if he can hold his own at AA. Will be 26 this season. Very much a sleeper. I also liked Lee Gronkiewicz who was with Boston last season but he is out until mid 2009 after under going Tommy John surgery. The need appears to be right handed starters as right now, the AAA rotation looks like it could be 5 lefties, Narron, Narvason, Gulin, Welch, and Wright.
  5. According to Baseball America, Mike Jones and Juan Sandoval have both resigned with Milwaukee.
  6. Both games are great ways to kill a dull afternoon.
  7. These are just the charities associated with the Brewers/Milwaukee. I'm sure there are others that do not get attention because they are outside of baseball or the Milwaukee area. Good for him. Not enough for sainthood, but good enough to qualify as a quality citizen.
  8. According to Baseball America, Rafael Lluberes was resigned after the season. It also lists the Brewers signing outfielder Luis Chirinos and right handed pitcher Vladimir Diaz. Edgar Trejo and Wily Peralta were officially reinstated from the DL.
  9. Joe Bateman anyone? I do not really believe they are going to add anyone at this point, but I didn't see Todd Coffey either.
  10. A little surprised about the lack of comments for Zarraga. Since there is no media coverage of the AZ League, it is hard to tell what players are making names for themselves, but since Shawn was a deadline signing, for a pretty good bonus, he appeared to have a pretty good season, at least based on box scores.
  11. From what I know, Iorg is the roving minor league infield instructor. He joined the Brewer coaching staff on 9/1. Played professionally with Toronto.
  12. Entourage! Awaiting the season premier of Always Sunny in Philadelphia this week and as always, the Simpsons.
  13. My silver lining, we will get to see Taylor Green become the next Mat Gamel next season in Huntsville.
  14. Thanks for the clarification. I'm new to the way Elias does this.

  17. RJ Seidel appears to have hit the wall. 6 runs allowed in the 1st and 3 more charged to him in the 2nd. Power down 9-2 after 6.
  18. I'm a little confused by this. From what I can tell, Wolf has made 29 starts this season. I wasn't sure if you meant how he did not pitch well at the beginning of the season with San Diego or if you were referring to previous seasons? I agree with the fact he hasn't been dominant, but in the 8 starts with Houston, the Astros are 7-1. What is more confusing is that his era is almost a full run lower, has yet to give up a home run in the "Juice Box", and has only 3 quality starts in the 8 he's made playing with Houston as opposed to the pitcher friendly San Diego. Based on the fact he is going to be considered a type B and coming off a $4.75M salary, I wouldn't mind seeing the Brewers take a flyer on him for a 1 year with a team option for 2010, that is unless they are able to find the money to keep Sabathia or Sheets.

  21. Green Bay Who?? Brewers all night! NO switching for score update. Only other score I'll be following is the WV Power playoff game.
  22. Yee-Haw!! Link report continues to live on for 2008! Power win 4-1. Outstanding pitching efforts by Luetge, Ramlow and Wooten!
  23. Big 2 out hits by Zelous Wheeler and Curt Rindal give WV a 3 run lead. 4-1!
  24. Power doing their best to keep you working on the Link Report Mass. 9-0 after 1 1/2 innings.
