  1. Agree 100% that any potential trade couldn't involve Henderson. Just not sure how aggressive Brewers were in a strictly minor league player offer thinking they were set with Harrision.
  2. I get that, but if Skubal was a Brewer instead of a Dodger, then I think the consensus would be Milwaukee is world series favorite. I believe most people think the Dodgers are the world series favorite now.
  3. I do wonder if the Brewers knew how bad Kyle would be post trade deadline, would they have tried a better minor league player offer for Skubal.
  4. I think May is the right choice for game 3 even though I think Gasser is pitching better. May has more experience which should help in a hostile environment. Will give Gasser time to take it all in if he is needed for game 4. May has good stats against San Diego. Results in a more favorable game 4 matchup Gasser vs (short rest King or Buehler or whoever) if game 4 is needed. 2-0 lead allows Murph to be more strategic in pitcher selections for game 3. Can use Drohan and Harrison for bulk innings if things don't go well and save high leverage arms for games 4/5.
  5. I may have been in the minority, but I wasn't upset about Counsell leaving at the time. He had a miserable playoff record in Milwaukee (and it's not any better with the Cubs LOL). So, I was ready to move on and try something different.
  6. Was that referring to the Packers offensive line?
  7. I think he had given up something like 3 runs in his last 5 games. That would look really good right now as a Brewer.
  8. I saw the article about the Reds. I would like to see Murph really embrace this style of play this year when interacting with the media. I don't recall the specific quote from last year, but recall cringing at the time when he was asked about being an "underdog". I think he needs to sell his team on it, if they are to have a shot at winning the WS.
  9. Gasser has been trending better than May as of late....but that scenario would jumbo that all up. Good luck to Murph to figure this all out.
  10. I think that was Murphs plan with the starting pitching as much as a mismatch as it was. Murph knows he has his work cut out for games 3 & 4 and is trying to figure out who to use where/when. Too bad we didn’t make a good move at the trade deadline for a starting pitcher that may have given us a legit shot at a WS. We are back to get in the playoffs and cross you fingers
  11. Murph had a short leash on him, so guessing that was his last shot.
  12. I was all for giving Harrison a chance to work out of it because of the upside if he did. But time has ran out on that.
  13. Great win but this game didn’t make me feel any better about the playoffs
  14. Gantner was later. Molitor was 2 base when he first came up. Later switched to third
  15. Hah got you beat. I remember 1978 Bambi’s Bombers. My favorite Brewers infield. Cooper, Molitor, Yount, Sal Bando
  16. Gasser vs whoever the Dodgers use for #3 will just be sad.
  17. True, the CC deal didn’t yield a championship, but condos to the Brewers for trying.
  18. Agree it would be pointless to include Henderson, but I can’t believe we couldn’t match LA offer without Henderson
  19. I would gladly trade all our minor league players for a World Series championship
