  1. I can't figure out why Shouse is pitching here instead of a righthander. McClung hasn't pitched in about 5 days.
  2. At some point again this season the Brewers are going to have a nice cakewalk and we can all sit back and relax. It doesn't look like today is going to be the day, though.
  3. Suppan, Gallardo and Villy have three awesome starts in a row and get nothing to show for it. Parra barely makes it through 5 innings and will probably get the win. Strange game.
  4. When was the last time a major league team had two guys named "Gabe" on base at the same time. Quick, anyone have the answer? Alright Kendall, beautiful bunt. Bases loaded, time to stick the dagger in the Cards.
  5. Thank you Albert for showing mercy on us poor Brewer fans for one at-bat.
  6. Those contact lenses sure have made a difference for Hall at the plate.
  7. I would have to say good fortune saved Manny (and Ned's) butt.
  8. Get Parra out of the game before the Cardinals are up by five.
  9. I guess Pujols has his own "special" strike zone. I can't wait until Pujols becomes a DH.
  10. I still can't figure out how Parra didn't score on the bad throw when Weeks stole second. Unless he was standing on 3rd base, just watching. If he has any kind of short lead, he should have scored easily. I hope that run doesn't come back to haunt the Brewers.
  11. Nice throw by Braun, but from the cut-away to a commercial angle, it looked like Pujols beat the throw. The Brewers actually caught a break from a freaking umpire!
  12. I don't really want to post this here as I am sure it belongs in a different thread, but I would venture to guess that Fingers was typically used more than an inning at a time unlike today's closers. He wasn't even really a closer. I think his defined role under the current flawed relief managing "book" would be more of a middle reliever. More akin to Torres and Riske. I'll take it one step further, Fingers was a middle reliever and a closer all rolled into one. He had saves where he came into the game in the 7th inning. Now, back to venting....Rickie Weeks, stop the pre-pitch, spastic twitching...IT DOESN'T WORK!!
  13. Our awesome 10th inning rally consisted of a walk, single, booted dp ball that would have ended the inning, a wild pitch to score a run, and another ball that was playable to score another run. This offense is lights out right now. Or is it that the lights are out on the offense? This season will become fun when those on the Milwaukee Brewers roster that are getting paid to hit a baseball hard, start hitting baseballs hard.
  14. Last time Gagne pitched in bad weather things didn't go very well.
  15. Have the Brewers ever had Weeks' eyes examined?
  16. Encarnicion has 6 errors and the whole Brewer team has 7.
  17. Yes!! We now don't have to rely on Weeks to drive in a run!! That wild pitch was huge!
  18. Time to send Weeks back to Nashville. Let him get his crap worked out again. Man, I've never seen such a disappointing baseball player. He has all the tools to be great, yet . . .
  19. Don't pinch hit for Yo, Ned. He's one of your better hitters in this lineup right now. You can pull him from the mound for the bottom of the 8th, just don't pinch hit for him. You only have about 3 guys to chose from anyway. Save them if this game goes extras.
  20. Is that Ned Yost, or Billy Martin, managing this team? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  21. Have the Brewers ever got Keppinger out?
  22. Three very poor at-bats after Kendall's lead-off double.
