  1. Cordero couldn't pitch 1 1/3 innings? He's been so over-used in the last few weeks. His arm might fall off. Look on the bright side, if the Brewers hire a blithering idiot as their manager next year, it will be an upgrade.
  2. Ummm.....this is the vent thread. If you want to dream, head on over to the Silver Lining thread. Bring a book though and a broom to dust off the cobwebs.
  3. Right now, Mark A. is printing off form NLFM-400. That is the official NL form that has to faxed into the league office for firing a manager. Here's a little heads-up Mark A.: Don't forget to check the box on line 8e. That's the one that reads: Are you firing this manager because he sucks?
  4. It makes me sick that Cubs fans are at home right now laughing at Brewer fans.
  5. I vote Naivan for the post of the year.
  6. I wouldn't want Garner back either. But in his defense, Sal Bando was his GM. 'Nuff said.
  7. I exist, therefore the Brewers suck. Logic 101.
  8. Sorry, I can't help it. When I see a post that is based on fuzzy facts/logic I can't help myself but to respond to it and I'm bored at work. Unfortunately a good 50% of useful posts discussing the team are in this thread now since the team gives so many good reasons to vent at them. Point taken.
  9. Why does Ennder spend his days debunking everyone's vents?
  10. Melvin has been with the Brewers almost 5 years now. In that span this team is 65 games under .500. I know this franchise was probably the worst franchise in baseball when he got there, but is five years not enough time to expect results? I'm not calling for Melvin to be replaced and I don't expect him to be fired, but I'd like to find out what reasonable expectations should be for this franchise after nearly 5 years with Melvin as GM. Also, has his biggest mistake so far been the hiring of Ned Yost? (consolidated tag --1992)
  11. I think today's keg was MGD.
  12. This team is gutless. ----- Continued here: viewtopic.php?f=63&t=30471
  13. Someone in this organization needs to take the fall for the way this team plays baseball. It is either those that constructed the roster, or those that manage the players on a day to day basis. If no one takes the fall, this organization is just setting itself up for 25 more years crappy baseball teams.
  14. If Sheets can go, I think it's going to be Suppan, Sheets and Gallardo against the Cubs. I would imagine it would be Yo's last start this year.
  15. I'm starting to think that the Brewers have a keg in the dugout and that by the time the 4th inning rolls around they are all to buzzed up to play baseball anymore. After watching their at-bats in the 6th inning last night against that "89-mph-straight-as-a-string-right-down-the-middle-of-the-plate-fastball" bum the Giants rolled out there, I can only assume this team was drunk. Getting shut out for the last 6 innings of a game is an all to often occurence for this team. It must be the beer.
  16. Wouldn't they have to draft the farm teams too?
  17. Great choice, Automator. Uecker has given more enjoyment to Brewer fans over the years then the product on the field has. I can turn a Brewer game on the radio at any time, and within 5 minutes Ueck will have me laughing. As for the RedsReporter's response: That's pretty bold. I'm surprised that ESPN even put it on their website. It's pretty funny, though. The Brewer's have had their share of "Juan Castros" over the years.
  18. Can Rickie bunt? Can Rickie do anything? Why Yost didn't pinch-hit for him in the 9th is beyond me. But then again, Yost isn't the brightest bulb on the bulb tree.
  19. The Rangers did get some cash out of the deal. The Brewers did have to purchase Thomas back from the Rangers, I believe.
  20. I will change the password I use to log on to my work computer. About a month ago I changed it to "Brewers00." It's been downhill ever since. I will take the blame for the Brewers slide. Maybe I'll change my password to "CubsAndCardsAreGreat."
  21. I have a feeling that this is how most of the Milwaukee Brewer's teams in the last 25 years have played in the middle of August. Twenty games out of first, and just running out the string until the end of September. Getting pounded night after night by teams fighting for a pennant. Sadly, it looks like this year won't be much different. Crappy pitching, lousy hitting and shoddy defense. I've seen this story before. So, I'm through venting. I've used up my allocated vents for this year. Early on, it looked like I would be able to cruise into late September with a handful of vents intact. Alas, it wasn't meant to be. It's been a fun season though. Well, at least is was until the Ramirez home run. Everything seemed to change after that. It's been a meat grinder since. I think this team is worn out. I'm worn out. Tonight was the first time all year I didn't want to turn the game on.
  22. Yeah I think he probably does. His shoulder has been fine and he had a finger injury that can happen to any pitcher. He's thrown the ball extremely well even with the injuries which is why i didn't really get your point about him not doing well the last 3 years when he was playing. I'm all for signing Sheets. At what cost, though?
  23. I have a feeling, unless the Brewers fall out of the race soon, that all series for the rest of the year will playoff implications.
  24. Without Braun and Fielder, the Brewers couldn't finish third in the Pacific Coast League.
