  1. There's a whole first season out there from 3-ish years ago that should tide you over a bit, stoutdude. Be warned that it's very, very dark, but well done.
  2. I'll echo this- I really have enjoyed the show so far, and I'm looking forward to the next season's release in August. I re-discovered AMC's Hell on Wheels last week, and I've enjoyed working through the first two seasons so far. I remember watching the first season or two back when it came out 6-7 years ago, then I stopped for no reason I can recall. Looking forward to watching the final 3 seasons over the next couple of weeks.
  3. Ringo did indeed pass away over the weekend.
  4. Reports are that Rob Andringa is stopping chemo treatment and returning home for hospice. So terribly sad at just age 51.
  5. Loved Boardwalk Empire. Like most shows, it was time for it to go by the end, but the fact that it had a typical HBO limited run made it so it didn’t go on too long.
  6. Started Tiger King tonight as well. Wow.
  7. It'll cause mortgage rates to decline eventually, though not as quickly as shorter-term rates.
  8. That's really not true, though. The S&P 500 is still up 13.32% vs. 1/1/19 values.
  9. Yes, FSWI is on Hulu Live.
  10. For the record, I've had zero issues watching any Wisconsin sports teams with Hulu Live since we made the switch in the fall of 2018.
  11. And zero issues with service arrival windows, crappy call centers, or installation fees.
  12. Really, really liked 1917. Legitimately one of the better movies I've seen in a long time.

    Pizza

I'm...going to be that "guy" and add that we have had cauliflower-crust pizza, and have bought frozen cauliflower crusts and topped them ourselves. It erases the SO's carb concern and honestly tastes fine to me. The consistency is different, but it's a reasonable alternative for us. I had to go gluten free (not by choice) about a year ago, and we've managed to find some solid substitutes for crust, frozen pizzas, and delivery. Dominos actually has one of the better ones I've had.

    Pizza

I remember buying a Rocky's pizza like that when I lived in the dorms, and eating on it for like 4 meals....
  15. You doubled down on this phrase, and I'm not a fan.
  16. Arcia was never elite. His dropoff in 2019 isnt even in the quoted numbers. ' I never used the word elite in my post. He used to play defense at an above-average level that offset a lot of his offensive limitations. This year, that has decreased dramatically. You seem to think that's the sign of a long-term issue, but I question whether a 24 year old is experiencing permanent physical declines. He's hit better this year, and if his defense does rebound, he'd be above replacement level if he can sustain his 2019 offensive production going forward. I didn't miss the point, I just don't think it was a particularly valid one. As your point was that Yuni was terrible for his career, had a good playoff run which was magnified because it was in the playoffs, people overlooked a bad career? Not buying it. Everyone here knew Yuni was bad. My issue with said point is that Arcia is 5 years younger than Yuni was, and didn't have nearly the crappy career Yuni had had at that point. Arcia has already had a better season in 2017 than Yuni ever had, which is why people still think that there's room to grow for a 24 year old. You seem to think that he's reached his ceiling. As others have pointed out, we gave up too early on Segura because we weren't patient enough, and it is POSSIBLE that they're heading toward the same situation here.
  17. Do you really believe he forgot how to play defense? I certainly can't explain the dropoff this year, but it don't think he's destined for it to be a permanant issue. But while on the topic of poor comparisons, Yuni B.'s playoff success came as a 29 year old, and Arcia's was at 24. There's still reason to think Arcia can develop from that, where as Yuni was at his hypothetical peak, if he had that.
  18. I think Doug Melvin publically said something to this effect during his tenure. I think 'winning a trade' is something fans are bent on quantifying, but I don't think front offices are. They probably just don't want to end up having it look like a robbery down the line.
  19. Yep, on HBO.
  20. Yep, released two weeks ago to finish the series. All of the (still living) cast returned to finish it out.
  21. Deadwood came up earlier in the thread, so I'm surprised there wasn't some talk about the (ridiculous delayed) movie to finally end the series. Obviously, the show ended too early initially for no apparent reason, so having the opportunity to truly end the series with actual resolution was nice as a fan of the show. I thought it was well done considering the circumstances, and I thought the ending fit the tone of the series despite the delay. Also, while on the topic of HBO shows, the Chernobyl miniseries was fascinating. A must-watch if you're looking for something quick this summer (only 5 episodes). Jared Harris has become one of my favorite "he's in everything and great at it" actors.
  22. I love this point, and wanted to highlight it one more time for emphasis. This deal is atypical for a number of reasons: it's not an 'acquire a pricey, older veteran for prospects to contend' or 'dump a veteran-soon-to-be-FA for prospects' deal that make up 95% of MLB trades. It was a 'trade a young all-star with a long-term, team-friendly contract for prospects' deal that makes sense based on what both teams are trying to do. If another opportunity to make a similar trade happens next year, I'd be all over that too.
  23. Who did the Brewers add to up their offer? I'm very interested in the answer to this question as well, HH.
  24. My assessment as well. Yes, the cost 'stings.' But it stings on the non-pitching prospect side, which is where we can afford to have it sting. Yelich could be a superstar heading into his prime and playing 81 games at Miller Park. Don't undervalue what we've just received. And the first point is correct as well. I'd bet nearly anything that this is the first in a string of moves. If this trade ends up being basically Santana for Yelich and Brinson/Diaz/Harrison/Yamamoto for 2 legit young, controlled arms, we win those moves pretty handily, IMO.
