  1. The QB run can happen at any time now.....
  2. There's a lot going on right now. I really wonder if the Packers work the phones on a vet trade if Burks goes before 22.
  3. Yeah, I'm down with that as well.
  4. I mean, the early run on WRs means crazy good value sliding elsewhere.....
  5. Kyle Hamilton weirdly falling. He'd be a crazy good pick in the late teens. Edit: Or not.
  6. You seem to be about 1 ahead of most of us. Eagles announcing as I type for me.
  7. I think that's a fair take, but I do think there was a top tier in talent through 14-15 or so, and I'd argue that Johnson, etc. was in that level. Might be worth it to get the 3rd swing at it, but that's a good edge guy to pass on who was, IMO, ahead of the next-level edge guys like Karlaftis, etc.
  8. Vikings got comically bad value in their trade, and Philly literally gives a haul to move up two spots to the next.
  9. That's a crazy good pick. Not sure about the cost to trade up, but Williams could be a superstar.
  10. Um, Lions trade up? What was that trade?
  11. I liked Olave and he was the guy I was hoping for but knew wouldn't be there for Green Bay. At 11, I'm glad they didn't make that trade. Burks or bust!
  12. I'd move up to 14-15 for Williams and to 17-19 for Olave.
  13. Yeah, that'll make 28 attractive for a team like Seattle that may want to come back up and take a QB. Cross is a really nice pick for them, but they've got the capital to come back into the first for a QB, which they probably should do.
  14. London as the first WR off the board is a little surprising. Guess that top 10 rumor was legit.
  15. Regarding Williams, he wasn't in my 'tiers of WRs' above because A) I don't see him in play at 22, and B)he's the biggest wildcard of the draft, IMO. Honestly, a team committed to long-term drafting like the Packers could find immense value in trading up to get him if he makes it to the mid-teens and if they're committed to double-dipping at WR. Your 2nd WR at 28 or wherever starts from day 1, and Williams offers legit top-of-draft talent that gives you huge value because of the injury. He recovers and contributes at any point this year, and he's a HR pick, IMO. Pair him with a Watson/Pierce pick or if Burks/Pickens are at 28, and that's a pretty great draft for the WR room.
  16. I continue to have the strong preference to retain all of the 1sts and 2nds to get as many swings at impact players as possible, so I hope they don't pursue a major trade up. I personally don't feel that the difference between someone like Wilson and a WR likely to be there regardless like Pickens is significant enough to justify the chance to add another, say Travis Jones or Drake Jackson-like talent at 53. Obviously, as madbad noted, the Packers' rankings would have to answer that question rather than us though. 22 and their 3rd gets them to about 17, add in a 4th and you get to 15. I'd be ok with that type of move. But I really, really hope they've picked 4 guys before the end of round 2 tomorrow (unless they move one of the early picks to acquire someone, of course).
  17. I actually do agree from a physical standpoint, 99%. But my issue with London is that his tape seems to underperform his draft status and measurables. Maybe that's a function of coaching that can be built upon in the pros, and I certainly won't be disappointed if they pick him at 22. I'd be a little concerned about moving up for him, though. EDIT: Truly funny that someone from the future took the liberty to edit his wiki profile: Drake London was a bust in the NFL, after being drafted 10th overall by the New York Jets. His career ended up getting whisked away by a lack of production in an injury-plagued career.
  18. I think there's a very realistic chance they go defense at 22 & 28, especially if there's a WR run that pulls Olave/London/Burks off the board by then. I think you could easily see a scenario where they're left to choose between over-drafting a guy like Watson at 22 or picking a guy who could really be of value on the defensive side. I think a 22/28 of some combo of Dax Hill/Karlaftis/Jones/Wyatt/Cine is completely plausible and not a bad thing for the team other than it would require a pretty great 2nd round to help the offense.
  19. I think we generally agree. I have Olave/London in the next tier LARGELY based on the assumption that they'll be gone and we'd have to give additional capital to get them. I'm fine with either at 22, though I'll agree that neither seems to have each of the factors that the Packers like either, though it feels like both could be legit NFL receivers.
  20. Though I've seen those reports too, reilly, I'm also super skeptical of 'unnamed sources' leaking info negatively on a player. There's a large part of me that thinks that someone is trying to create downward momentum on a guy, probably so their team has an increased chance to draft him.
  21. Burks, Pickens, and Pierce seem to be the WRs I continue to gravitate towards for the Packers, in that order. Second tier is Olave, London, Watson, and Dotson for me, in that order I think. Dotson is increasingly mocked to GB, but he really seems like a counter to their typical WR type. I don't have Tolbert listed, but I would think that if they don't get 2 WR in the 1st/2nd, he'd be a strong possibility at 92.
  22. Yes, I can certainly see them following that logic as well. I’m just not sure if they’ll value the extra pick in a draft deep with second round graded talent vs. getting that 5th year with a 3rd first rounder.
  23. That’s hits on a good point- though they have two seconds, 25 picks come off the board between 28 and 53, and a lot of nice, useful talent will come off the board as a result. Yes, they could package both seconds and move up, but my guess is they’d prefer 4 players than 3. Might lead to a guy we don’t expect at 28 as a result.
  24. My one and only Packer draft prediction, which is quite likely to be wrong: The Packers are taking Travis Jones, and I think it’ll be at 28. If that does happen, my much more likely to be right opinion is that the pick will be destroyed by the mocker universe and they’ll quickly disappear when it proves an excellent pick.
  25. Well, perhaps we simply have different definitions of 'viable options'. Myers and two late-round guys that were waived out of camp their rookie seasons and aren't anything close to locks to make the initial roster doesn't seem like the best plan for depth. I'd think the Packers would be very interested in the versatility of a guy like Johnson who could immediately start inside if they want him to and can likely cover all of the line positions if they need him to.
