  1. I think the 'lack of infrastructure' talk is largely coming from fringe national media types that like to poke at the Packers' fanbase because it's huge and generates clicks for their media posts/stories. Everything the NFL does is ultra-planned. There's a virtually 0% chance they award Green Bay the draft if they were concerned about infrastructure or logistics.
  2. BUT DON'T CALL IT A WISH LIST!
  3. Other reports that Darnell Savage restructured his deal over the weekend freeing up an additional $5.5 million in 2023 cap.
  4. I know there are a lot of varying opinions on Andre Carter II, but there was a point during the pre draft cycle he was discussed as a potential second rounder. That he went undrafted seems crazy.
  5. It’s fairly surprising they made all 9 picks today.
  6. Eagles getting Ojomo in the late 7th is just absurd.
  7. Nichols is actually an interesting story as well- monster production in 2021 though at a smaller school, but led the FBS in rushing that year. Hamstring injury limited him in 2022, which may be why he's a 7th rounder instead of higher.
  8. Nichols visited the Packers, so no surprise he's their annual 7th round RB guy.
  9. Valentine has extensive ST experience, and has been the BPA on Kiper's board for a while now.
  10. Wish the accuracy numbers were higher, but I also won't pretend to recall Crosby's coming out of college 16 years ago. Accuracy can be coached with mechanical consistency, so I trust our very good ST staff's projections on him if they like him. EDIT: Answering my own statistical question, Crosby made 75% in college.
  11. Vegas Kicker Dan Carlson's brother, FTR. Not particularly accurate at Auburn, but made some big-pressure kicks. Confident that if Bisaccia thinks they can make him more consistent, it'll be interesting to watch him in camp.
  12. Figure the Packers have to snag a low-round RB at some point. I like McBride or Ibrahim. Probably done with d-line, but surprising Ojomo is still there. I'd have been fine with him in the 5th, let alone now. Kuntz would be a delightful pick if they triple-up on TEs. Of all the safeties in the draft, Anthony Johnson seemed the most Packer-y, so I'd be down for that too.
  13. Glowing discussion on Brooks by the ESPN crew. They noted he could be the most skilled dline technician in the whole draft.
  14. Karl Brooks is a nice pick. Guy was ultra-productive at Bowling Green.
  15. A little surprised Wypler is still on the board. Seemed like a second-day lock.
  16. I think the clear takeaway thus far is that the Packers didn’t really like any of the safeties enough. Which isn’t surprising since the class was poor.
  17. Unsurprisingly, Clifford holds a super high RAS and is a four year starter at a P5 school. Seems plausible that the mix of experience and athleticism was attractive. But I agree, feels like a guy they get with any of the later-ish picks, unless they like him more than any of the QBs left, which they could.
  18. Saints and Raiders have both already traded up and have the first two picks today.
  19. Oh, I agree completely. Just noting that the pre-draft narrative of this being a poor overall safety draft has largely played out the first two days as guys like Branch and Ringo have fallen. I have almost no reservations about taking anyone with good athleticism on day 3.
  20. Ringo’s fall is less surprising since that’s been the story with the other tweener-type CB/safety guys. I’m much more surprised by the fact that Dawand Jones and Adebawore are still there. I liked either as possible 2nd round line picks, so they’d be high on my list for 116.
  21. Interesting surprise in that the Packers officially announced that Reed will wear #1, becoming only the second player in team history to do so…. the other is Curly Lambeau. #1 was supposedly unofficially retired/not reissued in his honor. Pretty interesting that they broke that longstanding tradition.
  22. I want pass catchers as much as all, but Branch is insane value here.
