  1. It was nice of the Cowboys to let Mike McCarthy sit in the draft room in the year he's going to get fired.
  2. This pick makes a lot of sense, I heard Brady is going to host Jeopardy now. I heard rumor I just made up now that Tom Brady is going to host jeopardy, and LeVar Burton is Tampa's QB next year. Crazy.
  3. If that happens, how does Rodgers distinguish which St. Brown he's yelling at after a play?
  4. Jenkins plays LT until Bahk is ready, yes. Jenkins back to LG when Bahk is back.
  5. I guess when you're the Super Bowl champs, you can reach for a QB in the 2nd without much criticism. Any word on whether Brady plans to demand a trade?
  6. John Myers, C, OSU it is. Immediate starter at center. Jenkins is your LT for now....
  7. I really thought they'd go o-line here, but now I'm rooting for Marshall big time.
  8. My list with 3 to go, which admittedly means nothing: Marshall Baron Browning Carlos Basham Jalen Mayfield Edit: Forgot Spencer Brown
  9. Mini run on tackles here, but still lots of nice talent with a dozen picks left before the Pack...
  10. I'm not sure we're making the same point. If the argument is that picking Love ticked him off enough to pull him out from behind the scenes, why was April 29th, 2021 the day he chose to throw his fit?
  11. Though I agree with your overall point, I don't even think he'll be a menace. He KNOWS that his best chance to win is with Green Bay, and he KNOWS this team is good enough to do so next year. He's crazy if he thinks that he's got a better chance to win in Oakland next year, and he's not crazy.
  12. As has been pointed out numerous times, they're currently negotiating a contract extension with him 'behind the scenes'. He's doing this because he doesn't like what the offer was and it's a negotiating ploy, plain and simple. And a diva-ish ploy at that. Exactly. That's what i mean by hardball, if they hadn't ticked him off and shown him last year he was expendable he probably would've kept things hush hush and got it done behind the scenes. Instead, he did what he did yesterday playing hardball showing he's gonna play every card he has to get his when he has all the power. To what end? They WERE negotiating behind the scenes. All this does is make him look like a petulant child while also making the organization tap dance. Scorched earth, I guess....
  13. He'd have less money if he abruptly retired. By all reports I've heard, he'd have to write the Packers a check for $30 million dollars. Rodgers has lots of money, and his post-football prospects are very good, but giving that amount of money back would be absolute lunacy unless you're Bill Gates or something. He's not doing that, and the Packers are right if they call his bluff on that potential move. EDIT: Just to clarify, that's NOT the money he loses just by walking away, which adds much more- that's the money he'd actually have to RETURN. According to Ian Rappaport he's very much considering doing exactly that. Because the last 24 hours has been filled with accurate, credible reporting? Though, in order to bluff you actually have to pretend to have something to bluff with, I guess.

  16. I saw interviews with Clark and Sternberger, and both were dismissive of it. I suppose it's unlikely a current player isn't likely to make waves though.
  17. I think that this is another really good point. I DO think there were seasons (like 2016) where the Packers were basically Rodgers pushing them further than they had any right to go (not terribly dissimilar to some of Favre's teams) because of the falling off of talent. I really, really don't think these '19 or '20 NFC Championship runner-up teams are the same at all. There's a ton of talent there BEYOND Rodgers. Doesn't mean that they're able to remove Rodgers from the equation and assume they can win without him, but I don't think he's truly carrying the team in a way that he had to 3-5-ish years ago. The roster has improved DRAMATICALLY under Gute, from top to bottom.
