  1. Hopefully I can add him to the list of first major league at bats I've seen.
  2. Pujols 3.750 and 1.000 BA with bases loaded sure isn't going to help that sample look any better. I think a more relevant study would be to compare years past, to current years to see if all of baseball is lucky, or if Brewers are just batting below average when the bases are clogged.
  3. They are starting to support internal GPS. Not sure if you have a new BB, but the ones with GPS the new version (2.0.1 I think) support it. It's pretty rad on the storm. And Google Latitude is rather neat as well.
  4. He pitched pretty well. His peripherals aren't all that great (small sample) but he got the job done.
  5. VZNavigate.. only because works pays for it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. That was NOT Braun calling out Parra for a bad performance. It was Tom Hardricourt. Braun said that pitching needs to throw strikes and make them swing. He basically said enough of this walk stuff, which he is right. Beyond Coffee/DiFelice/Looper/Gallardo, the rest of the staff can't find the strike zone.
  7. Very cool format, simple and clean. My only critique would be the header bars in the sections are a bit hard to read with the goldish/white. But very nice...
  8. Got'cha. I'm curious to see what load averages are on the site during intense games. Can Yuku offer a user database export? I see the fact that people have to maintain two userids and passwords as a very limiting factor in trying to create a web application that's seemless to the user. Are you getting new graphics? When can we see a beta? Apparently I'm full of questions today.
  9. Crap! Had a nice long post, but apparently closed the tab on accident. GRRRR! So here we go... 1 - I like the idea on Clubs/Cities idea. Add in that, a Visiting The Brewers guide. (Include Tailgate guide and safety information for those who drink to much while tailgating [route 10, cab lines, bar shuttles etc] 2 - I admit I do not go to the front page, nor look to BF.net for most breaking news. I go to my favorite Brewers news aggregate, BCB. They have some of the best Brewers writers and news aggregates out there, my 9:30 - 10:30am is spent waiting for the twitter notification that BCBs Frosty Mug is available. If you want to be known as a all encompassing Brewers site, follow suit. 3 - Leverage your relationship with the Brewers. Right now BF.net offers great ticket deals, but that shouldn't be the only win. With thousands of users, you should look to engage the Brewers to expand the relationship. Perhaps things like engaging Brewers Enterprises for game used items/fan experiences for Charity Auctions. Use your fan base of thousands to attempt to open up relationships with the PR, and try to get unique interviews. Does Bill Hall even know about the Can Bill Hall pitch thread? Build on this, and get unique insider information, but keep some distance to avoid being only known as a "Company Shrill". Aka.. Tom H http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif 4 - Mobile site. My crackberry and iPhone doesn't like the site to much. Mobile mobile mobile, same with RSS feeds. 5 - Yuku.. ugh. I'm not sure on what the charges are, but I've never been horribly impressed with Yuku. Has a move been evaluated to a new board? I know the expensive part of bandwidth, but if a cheap host is available, I'm sure BF.net could raise the money for an awefully good server some place. Having access to the raw user tables could mean you could have a single login, and create things like alerts on the front page / comment sections etc. I know you guys work hard, and it's a hard thing to do on your spare time. I appreciate your efforts, and if there is anything I can do... let me know.
  10. 2 of the 4 walks issued on his last appearance were IBB. (Well one due to Wild Pitch). Here's a recap.. Memphis Bottom 10th * Pitcher Change: Derrick Turnbow replaces Pedro Strop. * Shane Robinson flies out to left fielder Brandon Boggs. * Tyler Greene walks. * With Jon Jay batting, Tyler Greene steals (1) 2nd base. * Derrick Turnbow intentionally walks Jon Jay. * Coaching visit to mound. * With Joe Mather batting, wild pitch by Derrick Turnbow, Tyler Greene to 3rd. Jon Jay to 2nd. * Derrick Turnbow intentionally walks Joe Mather. * Casey Rowlett walks. Tyler Greene scores. Jon Jay to 3rd. Joe Mather to 2nd. Now if only we can dump Julio, another hard throwing no control guy.
  11. Has anyone actually tracked that dudes blogs accuracy? I'm thinking of he has spinal damage (Read herniated disc) he wouldn't be able to swing a bat. I could barely twist past center, or touch my knees. Swinging a bat, forget about it.
  12. I'd be all over an actual morel mushroom hunt, they are just toooo expensive store bought. Can we also get truffles?
  13. To bad he can probably pitch circles around all our starters right now, even with problems! But since it's left side, and not throwing arm problems, I doubt he'll be on the DL all season.
  14. See who he struck out? Gabe Kapler. At least it was a swinging strike out.
  15. Seriously? Wow that's low. I open my lid on my Q and let it cool for about 20 - 30 minutes. Its cool enough to put in your car by then. That's low, those things aren't cheap.
  16. Post sarcasm in blue gang. This may have to go in the bf.net hall of fame if this is a real thread.
  17. Weve got ya covered Hawing. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif we will also be able to get Gallardos tonight.
  18. Terrace level shop has a bunch of stuff on sale. (Obviously you need a game ticket). They had Jerseys (blank and crappy stitched ones) for 50 bucks (Down from 140). A bunch of nice shirts for either the skinny or the larger folks (xxl) for 10 bucks (Down from 30 or 50)
  19. Ewizabeth has just about everyone down pat. We've been trying to get them all for the last 3 games, we are just stumped on one player, that's Braun. Duffy didn't have an at bat song.
  20. The only thing we know, is that Suppan continues to stink. It's 6 games, smallest sample size ever, but Suppans stink has lasted for over a month now continuing to last season.
  21. Well, here to hoping we have good Soup. We'll be there again...
  22. Finally a win for my fantasy team. Lindstrom looked very very shaking closing for the Fish. Few walks and hard hit balls. An amazing play saved probably extra innings. McCann just went deep again, Blantons digging a hole.
  23. Series ending is by far one of the best written finales of any series ever. I watched the first 2 episodes, then forgot about it for awhile and picked it up on reruns. It's awesome. If you like 6Feet Under, check out Rome, Deadwood (hbo offerings) and Dexter (Shotime)
  24. Put my name in the hat for the Weeks auto. Thanks again for all you generosity Pedro. I may have to actually take you up on the offer (if it's still available) to get my hands on some club level nachos.
