  1. how many pitches does gagne throw before one leaves the yard?
  2. Can there be any doubt after this latest debacle that Ned Yost is just absolutely the most clueless manager in the Majors? He is the worst manager out there. Worse than Dusty Baker, worse than anybody. And where is Ted Simmons when Yost is trotting out Kendall and Counsell in the bottom of the ninth? Did he fall asleep again? How much is he getting paid to take naps in the dugout? How Yost stays employed beyond 2008 is beyond me, and it will really make me doubt Doug Melvin's sanity if Yost is back in 2009, regardless of what happens the rest of the way out. The players on this team know the score... they *MUST* recognize the lunacy of most of Yost's quote-unquote "managerial maneuvers". How could they not? And consequently, how can Yost possibly have any credibility in that clubhouse? He is a buffoon.
  3. full blown, for serious, no joke, real deal, gather up the kids and run to the bomb shelter panic mode.
  4. It's starting to look like the only satisfying thing that will come from this season will be the season-ending presser where Ned Yost finally gets his walking papers.
  5. That's one of the all-time great episodes. I love the Rocky scene with Randy when he's "in training", and he cracks open the raw eggs into a glass... and then he pours them into a pan and starts making an omlette (and cracks open a beer).
  6. Wow, we beat a team 32 games under 500 on a night that we started the best pitcher in baseball, and it only took us 11 innings to do it. Congrats, brewers. Barf. As much as I did not want to lose that game, it's hard to take much satisfaction from this one.
  7. oh my god a fly ball could win this game. Why does that seem so utterly improbable right now.
  8. Is Mark Attanasio enough of a baseball person to recognize what an incompetent buffoon Ned Yost is? Or is he just a businessman? I hope he is just fuming under the collar watching Yost's incessant boobery.
  9. Boo-yah. Can't wait to see how we pitch in the 12th
  10. Quick, somebody name me a worse manager than Ned Yost so I can feel better about our leadership for a moment.
  11. My Brewer Hate Lineup: 1) Gagne 2) Ned 3) Riske 4) Fielder 5) Mota 6) Hall 7) Weeks Still need to fill out 2 more spots, but that's the underpinnings of a formidable Hate lineup
  12. Oh good, Riskie. This should be over quickly.
  13. Oh. My. God. The only way we are going to win this game is if the Padres somehow get penalized a run.
  14. god, please rickie, make up for all your sins tonight right here.
  15. wow. *cough cough*. I bet rickie can't get a piece of one either. edit: or kapler, either.
  16. will nelson even get a piece of any pitch? I am betting not.
  17. I hate Prince more than I hate Gagne and Riske. As much as those guys may in fact be completely worthless, at least they're not taking cheap shots at our starting pitchers in the dugout whilst being completely worthless. Don't pay that big fat turd, Doug.
  18. crap. Well at least we have the bottom of the order coming up.
  19. Maybe if Rickie's glove was only slightly bigger than his hand, that might have been easier to come up with.
  20. I home DM sticks it right up Prince and Scott Boras' rear ends when contract time comes around. Price can walk as far as I care.
  21. Counsell has been doing what is expected of him, I think. Playing flawless defense and contributing here and there at the bottom of the order. Weeks and Riske on the other hand... yeesh.
  22. If there's one thing I learned from public school, it's this: The only thing that makes you feel better after getting beaten up in a scuffle on the playground is to go out the next day, find a slower, weaker kid, and pummel him. The brewers need to redirect that philosophy outwardly on the Pirates.
